Had a hiccup while serving for it but recovered well enough. Nice final point too.
Credit to ADF, he had a great run

Schwartz deserves to win one of these titles.I guess that Schwartzman has proven to us that he is at least better than ADF.
Just barely.Good match! Nice to see Tsitsipas dealing with the pressure of being favourite and also a very nice tournament by hustler Fokina.
Don’t be so hard on him. He’ll find his place in the sun.He has future playing semis and finals and never winning anything big. For sure.
Still, he might win a few 500s.
Just being realistic.Don’t be so hard on him. He’ll find his place in the sun.
First non big 4 to defend a big title since 2003Such a big win for many reasons
-First title in 11 months
-First NextGen to defend a big title that I can remember
-Big confidence builder in winning multiple matches where he failed to serve it out. Damn near got bageled by Diego and fought back to win the whole thing.
-Proves he's still the man to beat on clay from his gen despite his struggles last year
That's wild, I'd forgotten that it's been that longFirst title in 11 months
Always sharing his Tsitslosophy for us to learn. He should have written "He has risen"
Just barely.
Facing the Big 3 this display would have never been enough.
He actually finished his MP by sitting calmly on the clay like a true philosopher.Always sharing his Tsitslosophy for us to learn.
This win SHOULD give him more confidence.By his standards, this was pretty good. I was sure he would lose set 2 when Fokina started working the crowd there
I'll take "odd" over boring anytime.Cautiously optimistic that he has fully recovered from his elbow issues. Tennis needs him, even if he’s a bit odd, maybe because he’s a bit odd.
Man bun. I feel they went out of style about a decade ago, so maybe it's time for a comebackWhat’s the ADF haircut called?
Could I have one for myself being 57?
This win SHOULD give him more confidence.
A key win for his career, although some people might not realize this.
Not key in the sense of catapulting him to win a slam, but in the sense of not completely spiraling away and losing faith more.
Let's face it, that defeat was bad for tennis in a million ways.Let's hope he's on the right track. That RG final cut a hole in his heart.
He hasn't been awful, but basically just spinning his wheels since that RG final against Djokovic. Plenty of QF and SF finishes but always looking a step below the competition. He desperately needed the clay season to start up again. That's wild, I'd forgotten that it's been that long
Is he Stefanos Tsitsocrates or Stefanos Platopas ?Always sharing his Tsitslosophy for us to learn.
Is he Stefanos Tsitsocrates or Stefanos Platopas ?
AgreeIt would be quite the accomplishment and WTFokina
Stepanoe is not the solid favorite to win the french open saids Annacone
Federer is retiring?Only the eighth active player with multiple Masters titles, and one of them is retiring in a few weeks.
The rest of the entire world agrees.Stefanos is not the solid favorite to win the french open said Annacone
Federer is retiring?
LOL,,, My mistake guys.............. Annacone said Stepanoe is NOW the favorite to win french open.... he is the dude that will winAnnacone is great, but he also had Ruud ahead of Tsitsipas...
Stepanoe is now the solid favorite to win the french open saids Annacone
Problem is RAFA. what kind of form will he be in when paris starts. If RAFA is close to playing shape that he was in during australian open(he wasn't 100 %) , then he will win french open again only cause novak is not in good shape. Even full strength novak can't beat RAFA close to 100 % on red clay at French open.Looool at Annacone.
He’s a nice 7.0 in futures betting on Betfair, so worth a $50–$100 bet, I think.
Annie's Cone is such a hype bunny.Stepanoe is now the solid favorite to win the french open saids Annacone
As long as he has less slams than anyone he will not retire.Federer is retiring?
Carretero came out of nowhere. Fokin was a QF at FO, and QF at MC last year.No Carretero fairy tale ending for WTFokina.
If there’s any silver lining playbook it was a valuable first ATP final learning experience and got him 600 points towards an almost certain seeding at RG (NCH #27) to defend his surprising QF finish last year.
Poor man's Federer won his 2nd M1kLast person not in the Big 4 to defend a big title was JC Ferrero (2003 M-C). Tsitsipas can be the first in almost 20 years.
