I really like Medvedev as a type. Funny and well-spoken.

But I kinda like when he loses, because his tennis is so one-dimensional, especially for a world #1.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but Kyrgios might honestly be the only guy (or one of the very few) who can give Nadal anything at all to think about in New York if they meet. That's really where we're at lads.

I dunno, his movement isnt that good - and mentality dunno.... but yeah maybe

Nick's tennis IQ is 1000

It’s him or Sinner lol. Raz and Med look hopeless.

Speaking of which this post just reminded me to put another $3.82 on Nadal to win the US Open.

It's not that serious really. If Djoko isn't playing I probably still have Med as #1 favourite for USO.

I thought the same but nah. Nadal broke him. Absolute mental midget now. Kyrgios has trouble breaking midget, bad servers like Ymer and Nishioka and then he breaks Med 3x thanks to that dumbass spraying UEs all over the court

This is the world no. 1 in tennis!? Djokovic of 2008 would've beaten this guy in straights. Danil can't pass, can't finish at the net, yet he's the no.1 player.

Good match from Kyrgios. Played the smarter and more resourceful tennis to expose Medvedev's embarrassing inability to problem solve and win anywhere outwith his razor thin operating window.

Good god the nextgen sucks. World #1 getting beat by a clown who spends more time playing video games than playing tennis.

I mean, yeah, he's a clown, but there don't seem to be too many humans on the planet right now who can beat this clown. Also, what "gen" exactly are you talking about? These two were born like 6 months apart..

I have to wonder if Medvedev has a Plan B against big servers who come in against that Beyond Nadal receiving position. Cressy troubled him in Melbourne but couldn’t close the deal. Now, Nick has done the deal. There’s vulnerability there if anyone has the skills and courage to keep the pressure on him. His stubbornness to not change up his return tactics is headscratching.
