Well played, zverev was too solid, didnt drop a lot his level, carlos played better as the match went on but he was too many times on the line, getting saved by amazing plays difficult toreplicate time and time again, the more solid player won

Carlos botched that tiebreak and the match by showing nerves and not playing very smart. Some great first serves from Zverev and the tried and strong backhands longline made a winning pattern.

I was surprised to see Alcaraz refusing to attack the forehand.

Honestly an overall ordinary match with a good 4th set TB and some end of 3rd set drama.
First 2 sets were GARBAGE with Alcaraz a UFE machine.
Zedzilla could have won in 3 sets if he wasn't such a SERIAL CHOKER.
Alcaraz needed to have better tactics and break down Zed's forehand instead of approaching 1000 times on the backhand.

Well that was fun. Lots of fun. I only watched the backend of the match because of other committments but that had a lot intensity and electricity. There were some outrageous points and winners especially off the return towards the end.

Getting curb stomped by a younger Alcaraz may have been good for Zverev. The embarrassment by a kid a couple of weeks ago has to light a fire under someone with Zed's ego.

Exactly the better play won today. Zverev was consistent all match long and i hate him as a player but gotta give credit to him.
