The Alcaraz hype needs to die. Bad loss.

Wrong. If you watched the match you would know Z’s level was extraordinary. This dude has and always has had the goods, you don’t win WTF and beat Djoko on HC like he has without them. Now that he has his tough 5 set win, look out.

And for Alcaraz, he’s great, and he’s hopefully only going to get better

Z is going to bend over for whoever wins between Djokodal.

Currently camping finally got a signal lol Good grief Charlie Brown. The past hype de-thrones the current hype. I guess all that’s left is Nole to beat my man Rafa 2 years in a row as he did at Wimbledon to Fed. Sometimes tennis gods just look at the options and say let’s roll w this s****.

It’s great that we’ll get some respite from the Carlos hype though. Much needed for him and for us. There was anyway no way he was gonna beat Djokodal in a slam. Let’s be realistic.
Carlos’ last 2 slam losses have come at the hands of Berrettini and Z. Just goes to show how insanely difficult it is to win a slam and not ever talented teenager will turn out to be like the Big 3.

He really needs to improve that serve . Get some placement. Also learn about point construction.

somehow I feel Nadal has the edge over Djoker this time, I will be happy if either wins but should not be a 4.5 hr slugfest. If Nadal wins he will go all the way and announce his retirement.

Some points he made show how talented he is, but he don't have the shot tolerance that young Nadal and young Djokovic had yet, he is still a wild animal

Try watching some matches without lenses of 2003-2007 .Z played at very high level, flawless tennis.
The problem is that zverev will face a much better returner than he faced with alcaraz. Also those guys know zverev‘s game all too well. Zverev will have to serve well just to stay in that match.

He was phenomenal off grounds ,let's not pretend it was just serve.

No, it gets discussed but the threads always get deleted because it goes into topics that go beyond the tennis court.
Really? I have never noticed a thread with many Z-bashing posts deleted?
At least compared to those related to the Djokovax issue and the war in Ukraine.

Facepalm.

He has just turned 19 and almost took the match to the fifth set (where he would have been favourite) against the world number 3, who played one of the best matches of his career.

This forum is toxic sometimes. Do you really like tennis? ...
I like Alcaraz, and he definitely is a talent, and not a fan of Zed really, but the way everyone was dismissing Zed on that side of the draw, like he was a nobody was really annoying, he has won the WTF and gone deep in slams including a final, Alcaraz has not done any of this yet.

Maybe some people were wrong thinking Alcaraz was the huge favourite against a consolidated top 5 player. But Alcaraz is not overrated or silly things like that. Zverev himself knows that he's gonna be better than him...
