I forgot that this is Tsonga's last tournament. I always liked Tsonga and wish him the absolute best with his family and post-tennis life, but I don't think he can make a serious run here, even if he were to beat Ruud. The draw will be more interesting with Ruud in it. Not that Tsonga beating a seed at Roland Garros in his last tournament wouldn't be cool.

According to the commentators: "Tsonga is showing the weaknesses in Ruud's game, there's a lack of imagination...at net"

If I had said that, they would have accused me of starting a flame war.

The second set cost Tsonga the matches.
He has no legs to play more than 3 sets, moreover, if they are disputed.

Watching this match and it's hard to believe that Ruud is top 10 and Tsonga is about to retire. The men's tour...

Break point Tsonga.

Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!

.....
Marchons, marchons!

The crowds are great, when they are having fun.

Man this is so sad. Underhand serving now, nearly tearing up. He can’t hit the ball anymore. I think it’s his back or maybe core.

Think this match is done along with Tsonga's career. I can't work out what happened, everything seemed to be going Jo's way. So unfortunate.

Why is he injured just now after he played such a great game at 5-5? What happened?
It's his shoulder. I mean this has been his life the last few years, he can't stay healthy. He's worked his ass off today, no surprise. Can't have been out there hitting for this long in who knows how long.

Tsonga is constantly on my unluckiest players of all time list, so in a way it’s fitting to see an unlucky end to a great match and career.
