Yep, my suspicions were confirmed. Just weak from Korda when he needed to be strong.

“those break points don’t grow on trees, son. You’ll learn soon enough”

Korda just isn't a great competitor. He has a lot of gifts but he's missing elements mentally which he's unlikely to acquire.

Don't know if it's me but this is mostly a boring match from both sides. Refreshing to see a new postnon ttw seems more interesting then catching the next point.

Carlos already seems like a calm, seasoned player. Sebi looks a bit lost out there to me. His body language has got to be more forceful. You can be calm like Borg and still have a quietly dynamic presence.

Sebi to be broken now.

This match reminds me of the Medsipas match last year this RG. Tight scoreline but the loser actually never came close to the winner.

Alcaraz has stepped up his clutch play a few levels this match. The big difference this time is that he's staving off break points. I don't think he's been broken yet. Two days ago, Alcaraz was broken 6 times in 7 break point opportunities.

Korda just has to learn that the top players in the game are always gunning, are always battling. He lost his chances to break and then, downtrodden, plays a loose game. Doesn't matter if you spray four errors, you gotta keep coming, not get in your head. That's WAY tougher than it sounds and that's why it's so hard to be a top player/Slam champion.

Sebi looks lazy now.
He's nothing like his Dad, who was super hyper and incredibly expressive on court.
