Great performance. He just ground him down. It's not even Alcaraz's highest level. But, he stayed focused, worked through a few dicey moments and just kept the foot on the gas. We saw the "escape" matches players have to win to be champions in the last round, and now we're seeing the rather mundane workmanlike matches they need to win.

Wasn't confident going into this match after that incredible comeback against Vinolas and with their recent Monte Carlo meeting in mind as well. Pleasantly surprised which has been the case with Carlos quite a few times recently.

And the tournament as a whole is progressing well. Rafa looks alright so far, Novak is ready, as it stands Sascha and Carlos are doing their part too. The other half of the draw hasn't disappointed either. Very excited for the second week.

Great job. (y)

Lazy from Korda. Poor way to get broken.

This goose is officially cooked.
Little update. I haven't played the game since last time I spoke about it. I'm trying to get Coby White in as the other point guard. I'm not going after any of the superstar point guards because they will be looking for a superstar in return and that means either me or Davis. No way I can let that happen.

I miss the days of the memory cards. At least if the computer gm does mess up the trade then I could go back. Now there is no going back.

This match sort of reminded me of the Fed-Roddick 2001-2003 rivalry, where Roddick won one match but was totally outclassed from Roger in all the other early contests. Alcaraz is almost 3 years younger than Korda, but clearly is the dominant presence on court and (at this point), by far the better player. Sebi has a lot to work on, hopefully Worm can help him with some of things he's clearly lacking.

Alcaraz will even have it easier than the Big Three, as there’s nobody at his level now except for the last few years of Djokodal, who will not play until 40.
Have you ever seen Zverev in his prime?

Yo what's up guys. I'm looking to watch the Alcaraz Korda match, but I don't see it on the schedule anywhere. Every court says "play concluded". I'm getting kinda worried. I took the day off work for this.

The match ended several hours ago - Carlos won! Perhaps you can find a rebroadcast of it?

Yep, 2R. Del Potro troubled Fed too in SF.
Haas too, everyone, really.
Federer won though.
There is that other 09 match where Del Potro troubled Federer and Fed kept going to his FH
Or maybe he couldn't do better
At Us Open

Wonder what would happen if Del Po was a 2 slam winner that year
