Yeah all that stuff definitely happened. Perhaps optimistic but I like to believe that the majority of people aren't heavily influenced politically by their sports idols. If they are, well, I pity them for not knowing better. I also believe that Djokovic, didn't choose to attach himself to that narrative at the time but was foolish and poorly advised.
