The San Diego Open returns to the Barnes Tennis Center this fall!​

• The Men's ATP250 returns from September 17-25th, 2022

• Women's WTA500 returns to San Diego (here at Barnes) for the first time since 2015 from October 8-16th, 2022.

I will be participating in the ATP tournament.

Entry list is looking bit light so far:

Last year was much better:

Perhaps there will be more players signing up after the US Open, or by then is it too late? Not sure how the timing works.

Last year the tournament was sandwiched between the Laver Cup in Boston and the abnormally-timed Indian Wells, so it was a windfall.

Don't expect that this year. It will become a tournament meant to showcase American also-rans so just enjoy that.

Entries were lights for the MEns draw nut I live in SD and highly recommend watching the WTA bracket as IGA Swiatek will be there as well as Coco Gauff and many others. Additionally, there is currently a WTA Challenger going on this week in Rancho Santa Fe. Many good players just inside top 100 and some good juniors as well.
