Cilic isn't built for big moments unless he's on steroids LOLAre we sure Nadal wins on Sunday?
He played like sh1t today.
He will need Cilic’s help.
Nadal has him by the throat and will make easy work of him.

The Slam H2H favours Nadal though. What is it like 11-7 or something now in Slams? To be fair, Djokovic doesn't need to pass him, he just needs to equal him. He has all the other numbers. But yeah, I don't see Nadal stopping at 22 to be honest, I think he has a few left to win.

We depend on that more than on everything else this time.Cilic isn't built for big moments unless he's on steroids LOL

Yes, I still remember his pathetic performance against Federer at Wimbledon 2017.Cilic isn't built for big moments unless he's on steroids LOL

Fed is gone, and now I cheer for Rafa. The amount of bitterness in here is overwhelming. Fed is gone folks. He’s going to be left in the dust like Pete. Move on and accept reality.
Fed is gone, and now I cheer for Rafa.
But anyway, how lucky this cabronazo is!! Ombelivable!!
First injury, bathing his daughters, then in Wimbledon last year in that tiebreaker against Hurkacz.I still don’t know how fed’s knees broke down. Was it a knee botched operation?
Until 2019 they were just delaying the match until there is normal weather. That roof ruins everything.Lol they will not try. It will be raining they have no choice.
True but I think people are only looking at the Slam count to judge GOAT status. What's the slam H2H at Wimbledon though? Hard courts?
Lets not confuse clay matches with grass matches or hard courts.
True but I think people are only looking at the Slam count to judge GOAT status.
Nadal should be ashamed of the way he won
The forecast is for rain. The roof will likely be closed. It has nothing to do with the organizers fairness.Well, the final is a MUST win for Nadal. It should be an easier opponent. He needs to try and rest now, and just give it all. Though knowing the organizers, they will probably close the roof again.
rain probability 90 percent just like todayThe forecast is for rain. The roof will likely be closed. It has nothing to do with the organizers fairness.
The match does have it's own thread!1-1. Nice shotmaking by ruud.
He didn’t deserve to win the 2nd set the way he was playing. An overlooked fact is that the match was with the roof closed, which favors any big server.
In spite of that Zverev had 8 DF, with an open roof that coulda been twice as much.
Nadal deserved to win.
True but I think it's the one that counts most. That's how people judged Federer, Sampras, etc in the GOAT discussions.Everyone judges their own way, there is no one way. Sure the slam way is a very common way, but it isn't the only one.
I think Ruud will be his opponent on Sunday.Cilic isn't built for big moments unless he's on steroids LOL
Nadal has him by the throat and will make easy work of him.
Well, if he didn't deserve to win, and Zverev didn't deserve to win, then who deserved to win? Djokovic? He didn’t deserve to win the 2nd set the way he was playing.
That's right, Slams are the gold standard of tennis greatness.True but I think it's the one that counts most. That's how people judged Federer, Sampras, etc in the GOAT discussions.

I said he didn’t deserve to win the second set based on his level of play. Looked amateurish by Rafa’s standards.Well, if he didn't deserve to win, and Zverev didn't deserve to win, then who deserved to win? Djokovic?
What you seem not to understand, is that to play competition, you have to be at least 90%, to play an exo 50% is good enough.
Dimitrov should be ashamed of the way he lost to the Argentine.Nadal should be ashamed of the way he won
You woke up and thats the first thought? Not omg I hope Zverev is ok?Just woke up to the news about Zverev.
I try not to say "X player got lucky" but c'mon. This is the most unbelievable stroke of luck.
I freely admit Fed got lucky in the Wimbledon Final vs Cilic. This has to be up there w/that.
F'ing ridiculous. GG Rafa.
Now make sure you don’t read the pages in here if you don’t want the sadness part to be replaced with disgust at the posters here.Wow! Had to leave home at 1 all in the second and I hit the record button and made sure not to check scores….after getting back I was all involved in that epic second set and then saw what happened. Damn that’s awful! Looked just terrible! I hope Sascha will be okay. I’m no big fan of his but I just found out I like him a lot more than I knew! What a shame. Damn. Nobody deserves that. Ugh.

You are one classy dudeI have no love for the guy and one could argue that this is karma biting him on the ass for his toxic and abusive behavior. Not shedding a tear for him, although obviously it is unfortunate and I would have liked to see him win the match for many reasons.

In the realm of possibilities, is possible, unlikely but possible. And Nadal still could've gotten injured at the exhibition.
Lendl against Edberg in the 1990 Australian Open final is another example. How about Federer against Mannarino at Wimbledon last year? Nadal isn't the only player to benefit from his opponent retiring. It has happened to Djokovic and Federer too.
Oh geeez. Forewarned is forearmed! Thanks @Azure.Now make sure you don’t read the pages in here if you don’t want the sadness part to be replaced with disgust at the posters here.

Though I like Nadal, Yeah if he is really folding the towel then he should be docked a point. IT is ridiculousYes, I gotta say Nadal took delay of game tactics to a new level in this year's FO. Even on return he's been making the server wait by taking his time to... wait for it.... fold his towel after toweling off after every point. I've come to like him and respect him but this was really ridiculous today. Folding the f'ing towel while the server is standing there waiting for you to get ready to return.

No shot get the H out. It's simple, no?Given Joker’s level this year it’s not a certainty he would’ve won AO. But I get what you’re saying
They would use Pancho, si cisco?
You never know sports is unpredictable nadal was pretty gassed.. It did feel like the momentum for the tiebreak was with nadal and def going up to sets to love their would be zero doubt…Not really. Nobody will remember this if nadal wins the french open. It’s a shame what happened to zverev . Now if zverev was up a set and going to a tiebreaker maybe i would have felt this way.
This is a stupid accusation.Nadal taking atleast 40sec between points without warning.
