I have never seen Kyrgios so well behaved. What happened to him? Did his girlfriend slip something into his drink?

Hurkacz wins the match, but Kyrgios wins the ace award as a consolation, hitting 30 to Hurkacz's 27. During the tiebreak they flashed up a graphic which showed both of them to be equal on unreturned serves at 46% each, though.

Hurkacz's serve has become a lot more potent than I ever remember it being. He's acing at the sixth highest rate of anyone on tour this year, 13 places higher on that list than last year. Another strong Wimbledon run could well be on the cards for him.

I had one of those rare days when all 4 matches went the way I wanted! Looking forward to Hubie vs Meddy!!! (: (: (: (: (: (:

Interesting that he hasn't played any British grass events so far this year which he normally does. Ranking issues?

Well, it's been nothing but wild cards so yeah, he probably went where they would have him. Indeed, he did not have the ranking to enter ANY of this year's grass events. I also think the German courts are actually a better fit for him as they seem to be somewhat faster, and therefore more exploitable by his only actual world-class weapon: the serve.

Hurkacz is playing fantastic grasscourt tennis. I'm actually surprised Kyrgios made it such a close match yesterday. So Kyrgios himself may still be a threat at Wimbledon. Of course not for the win (he would never play 7 serious matches in a row), but for an early upset.
