Fritz has to be the favorite in his section of the draw -- highest seed Ruud, faces qualifier Brandon Holt in the first round. Bedene and Wawarinka are both coming in on protected rankings. If the USTA were to rig a draw in favor of an American, they could hardly come up with a better draw.

It reverts to ESPN only for both singles finals. The first 12 days goes back and forth between ESPN and ESPN + so you need access to both to guarantee maximum flexibility.

I root a lot for underdogs but for me all that really matters is that Carlos does well and has a deep run - I so want him to win his first Grand Slam! One match at a time...
