Guy is such a joke. One of those people who thinks he's so cool because he doesn't take anything seriously. I guess that's what happens when you're gifted millions upon millions of dollars in endorsements because of your supposedly wicked personality and not results.

It is really going to suck when the Big 3 are all gone. I don't say that as a fanboy of any of them either. It's more the loss of professionalism in general that's going to be felt. The loss of give a ****.

but just imagine if Nick took tennis seriously and actually won a major,,,,, just think of millions that would roll in his way. but then i guess money doesn't make him happy ,,,,,,,so

Actually Nick and Sock are actually practicing now for seriously

Man, Alcarez has to play Baez in 1st round,, that is so BS, Baez is one of the hot players right now and could upset Carlos. this is conspiracy

Fritz has to be the favorite in his section of the draw -- highest seed Ruud, faces qualifier Brandon Holt in the first round. Bedene and Wawarinka are both coming in on protected rankings. If the USTA were to rig a draw in favor of an American, they could hardly come up with a better draw.

In fact, it's almost too easy. Fritz has become more consistent and he should come through, but the winner of the Botic vs Tomas Machac match is likely to be his first test.

Boring section. Ruud stinks on fast courts

LOLOLOLOL! Baez has lost six straight matches beginning with the Bastad final. He is an easy opponent for Alcaraz. Fritz gave him double breadsticks at Cincinnati.
he just had an off day against Fritz. Currently ranked #37, this guy is a power house

He's good on clay, but he's 2-9 in tour level matches on hard courts this year.

How do you explain the other five losses in the streak, three of them on his preferred clay? He even threw in a Bundesliga loss to Manuel Guinard in the midst of the clay slide.

I have a Firestick and paid for ESPN Plus. I have to have one of the pricier platforms (right now I’m on Sling) to get regular ESPN for the second weekend when Plus doesn’t have big matches.
So ESPN+ does not have the main matches??? Does ESPN+ not show any Arthur Ashe or Louis Armstrong matches?

It reverts to ESPN only for both singles finals. The first 12 days goes back and forth between ESPN and ESPN + so you need access to both to guarantee maximum flexibility.
Thanks for the reminder. Signed up for one month of EPSN+ on the iPad app ($9.99) only to realize that for three bucks more I could have added Disney+ and Hulu (ad supported) by getting the bundle. D'Oh! Oh well, I'll be too busy watching tennis to be watching anything else anyway. :)

Exactly, the queen the rothschilds, the vatican the gettys and colonel sanders all got together at the meadows to do this.
Did they not convene on a grassy knoll there, down by the unisphere? I heard Anna Wintour chaired the gathering. A hot topic was how to incorporate more garish color schemes in all the players’ kits, using the slogan “Juiced Srshs It!”

If anyone wants to share an espn+ subscription with me dm please because 3 people can watch simultaneously so its useless to buy for me only.

Thanks for the answer. Looks like I need to pay a lot to watch tennis in the US!! In India just sony liv would have sufficed

I've never been less excited by a slam. Haven't looked at the draw and can't even be bothered to read the OOP.
Still, I'll be up for some heavy trolling over the next two weeks, of course :giggle:.

He's the highest ranked unseeded player in the draw but when you're in a funk, you're in a funk, and he's in a funk.

Agreed. There's not a lot of intrigue here. Wouldn't mind seeing Coric go deep after his nice Cincy performance,...maybe see Titsi get smoked by Cressy early. Theim maybe get a couple rounds in and stir the pot.Of course Nick getting past Daniil would be fun, jackass as he is.

Section 3:
Tsitsipas is finally gaining some traction in 2022 with a good run to reach the final in Cincy. He could face Berrettini for the third time, with their first match coming in 2019 at the Australian Open. Tsitsipas won that match in 4 and leads their h2h 2-0. Cressy, Frankie Cerundolo and Murray are also in this section.

Will Matt and Stef face off once more, and who wins this potential matchup?

^I really want Tsitsipas to lose early this coming week!

Looking over tomorrow's schedule I see five matches that interest me the most: Cerundolo vs Murray, Edmund vs Ruud, Fucsovics vs Cressy, CARRENO BUSTA vs THIEM, and Kokkinakis vs Kyrgios.

I root a lot for underdogs but for me all that really matters is that Carlos does well and has a deep run - I so want him to win his first Grand Slam! (: One match at a time...

Would love to see stef do well

Side note: Lloyd Harris, a quarterfinalist at least year's US Open, just ended his season early to take care of a right wrist injury. He has struggled this year, only getting past the first round three times all season.

I don't say it to bash him – I love his game and still think he's an incredible talent who will do great things. But he's been quite inconsistent lately and having to go through a draw like Coric, Cilic, and then Sinner or Hurkacz all in a row seems like a few too many landmines to me. I'd love to see him in the semis and I'll be rooting for him to make it there but based on recent form it just feels to me like he'll slip up somewhere.
Precisely why tennis is a cult. Open up the draw and see if it actually tennis that people love.
