She's nowhere near Clijsters. Not even in her league in that department.Iga's defense is Djokodal-esque, what a player
I give Sabalenka a 1 in 10 chance of holding the next game.
yeesh, Sabalenka let Iga off the hook there rather than Iga won it. Tossing in short balls, Aryna just snatched at a couple shots and sent them long.
I can't say I trust Sabalenka to stay calm on serve here at all.
Ons winning would be cool. Iga irks me for some reason. Not sure why. Something about her fanboying nadal I feel is creepy
As I said, no idea how she made it this far. Stephens (the old Stephens lol), Niemeier, Pegula are all better HC players. Swiatek will dominate on clay, on HC she'll always be a non factor at majors
Lol how everyone went "Sabalenka implodes", "never in doubt Iga" like she's Novak in his best days. This match is entirely on Sabalenkas racquet. If she plays halfway decent, Swiatek has no chance.
Iga, along with many of the women players have complained about the lighter balls they are forced to use at the open, and lead up tournaments. I think it's been showing. How hard was it for these guys to play like this from the beginning...
Name a better duo than tightening up and Sabalenka
Live by the sword die by the sword. Sabalenka just went for too much at the wrong times, as usual.
Swiatek Jabeur will be popcorn though. Looking like an amazing, entertaining final.

This match is unpredictable. So Sabalenka will probably hold.
Sabalenka has no chance.
Impossible. Girls don't poop.Did Iga really admit on camera what she really "did" in the bathroom? She said it helped make her lighter... lmao

Who has a worse second serve, Sab or Zed?This is what is known as winning ugly.
Including the token breakdown of serve by Sab.
Your girl basically admitted she did a s**t during the bathroom break. I like that honesty.Man, I were so nervous to watch. Glad that the match has finished.
WTA is more predictable than ATP at this US Open, when was the last time that was the case? Probably early 2000s pre-Fed, no?Best two players in the world this year meet in the final major's final. Weirdly expected something crazy and we ended up something normal.
Swiatek won?
Damn some turnaround
That's finally it for Iga Overhypetek
So sad to see someone playing so bad reach the final. Was Sabalenka's match to lose and boy did she lose it
You're pretty contradictory in asserting how awful Swiatek is while she reaches the final at the same time you praise Garcia for playing so well for reaching but losing in the semifinal.
I missed the 2nd set so I didn't know how Iga wanted her racquet to be restrung. In the match yesterday against JPeg, she sent 3 racquets off to be restrung at 25/25 (kg).Ok, thanks. . The announcer said she strings it very low. But 50 isn't all that low if she's using poly
In fairness Swiatek is the world #1. More should be expected of her than Garcia, and in a sense Garcia playing so well to reach the semis is more impressive on a personal level than Swiatek reaching the final (which should not be that surprising, despite her rep as largely a clay courter).
