I am actually excited for this one. I genuinely can't remember the last time I was truly excited to watch two players under 21 play each other in a Slam. Rare occasion.

On the one hand, we have Jannik Sinner coming off an impressive dismantling of Isner. John was gassed today, but Sinner was returning his 135mph bombs with ease. a truly sterling performance.

On the other hand, we have Carlos Alcaraz who just took apart Otte in masterful fashion. I have overexaggerated but he was a hot knife through buttter. He was Neo in the Matrix. He was impervious. 37 winners, 8 UEs. only 1 BP faced. A monstrous performance by any metric. He was as close to flawless as one can play. That was only the 5th match he's ever played on grass, by the way.

I will make a commitment to respect this match and not troll in this one. For the first time in so long I'm actually happy about young players' performance. Enjoy.

This is likely the best 4th round match in Men's draw.

Will this get Center court? It would be INJUSTICE for Alcaraz as #5 seed - NEVER having played on center court before facing Novak in QF.
I memed you with the Medvedev stuff last year but I completely agree.

If this isn't on Centre Court the organizers will have royally messed this up. Two top 10 seeds, two rising stars of the game, playing for a spot to face the final boss, the 6 time champ in his lair on Centre. You have to let them play on it before the QF.

This match has to be on Centre, no questions asked. It will be CRIMINAL if they put it on 1.

Knowing WImbledon, I can GUARANTEE you they will put Novak on center.
Sinner Vs Alcaraz will be on Court 2.
It will rain. Then Sinner/Alcaraz will play for 2 consecutive days and will be like exhausted and clueless vs Novak on Wednesday in the QF.

I am almost certain that this will be put on 1 for 2 reasons:

Djokovic is the main attraction Number 1 player and Cameron Norrie is still in the draw.

Tiafoe, Goffin, Alcaraz and Sinner will have to deal with it.

With that being said, I originally said that Alcaraz will not meet Djokovic and I am slowly changing my mind but Sinner in 5 sets.

Watch Norrie get the friggin Centre Court. These British Frauds need to go out ASAP and stop hogging the centre court. RG always gave centre court to Alcaraz and he deserves it because of the spectacular tennis he plays

As I said before, Sinner vs Alcaraz will be Court 2.
Norrie's match and Novak match will be center.
Nadal might be court 1 or court 3.

Sinner/Alcaraz will probably play consecutive days.

Same I feel Sinner will play with a point to prove

Nadal will be placed on court 3? You are kidding, right?
Super Monday would have 16 matches in one day between men and women. There is NOT enough space.
Novak, Norrie are guaranteed center.
Sinner/Alcaraz and Nadal could be pushed to Court 2 or court 3.

Actually this is the first time in history that there will be matches on the middle Sunday.

So Djoko/Raz/Norrie/Tiafoe play on Sunday while Nadal's half plays on Monday.

They killed Manic Monday.

Are you SURE? I thought Sunday was a holiday,
Is there a link that they ARE playing on Sunday?

EDIT: @Kralingen is right as usual.

Manic Monday scrapped
The Monday after Middle Sunday is known as “Manic Monday”, which sees all 16 fourth-round players - both men’s and women’s - in action.

This year’s Wimbledon sees play taking place on the first Sunday of the championships with the traditional Manic Monday scrapped.

From 2022 onwards, to tie in with the centenary of the Centre Court, the 16 matches of Wimbledon’s fourth round will be spread across days seven and eight of the tournament.

“We want more of this wonderful event to be available to more people around the world to share in the joy of The Championships,” explains Sally Bolton, the All England Club’s chief executive.

“Including Middle Sunday permanently in our schedule will allow us to do just that and begin a new tradition which we hope we can become immensely proud of. It enables us to do more with the second Monday, which is known as ‘manic’ for good reason.”

Actually this year 4th rounds of different half are on different day. So they may still get court 1 or centre since Nadal will not play on Sunday

The gender equality pattern is to offer three men’s and three women’s matches combined on the two courts with roofs (CC and #1). One of the four R16 matches on both Sunday and Monday will be played on an outer court. Djokohoven on Centre for sure; probably Norrie Paul there too; Sinncaraz on #1 and then, by process of elimination it’s Goffinfoe on Court 2.

By playing on Sunday it will be less likely to invoke the immortal CescFabregas’ classic, “Its a digrace, its an scandal, its a outrage!” We still must pray for dry days though until a third roof can be built. Target date for that is 2030, to be erected (8K seats) on the adjacent golf course grounds AELTC purchased last year.

The club will also build quite a few more courts surrounding the third stadium, allowing for the qualifying to be held on site instead of at Roehampton about 5 miles from AELTC. That process begins sometime very soon. I have no idea how long grass courts take to build and mature sufficiently to allow play but it won’t take 8 years to move the qualies to what AELTC is calling their Parkland property.

Oh man, i hope you watched alcaraz otte match, greatest display of beautiful grass tennis since federer, i was getting so depressed watchin a player like djokovic win so much on grass, if djokovic wants to put a match against carlos, he is gonna have to up his game a couple of notches to keep up with that intensity, after roland garros, if carlos beats novak here, we can say you are having a hard year hoping for djokovic xD the most boring to watch player to ever win more than one slam

i dont know what to expect from this match, honestly havent seen sinner on grass this year, he can strike the ball very good but can he stand alcaraz intensity and all court game on grass? lets see, i just hope they dont play two sepparate days, because i also doubt they put them in center court

If the organizers don't put Alcaraz on Centre Court from now on, they are shooting their own foot. Biggest crowd draw of the tournament.

i really tried not to be, but when you love the sport the evident is evident, i got to like things from djokovic over the years, like his mental strength and such, but the tennis that inspires people to pick up a racquet is not that kind of tennis

yeah but they have their own logic, and i kind of respect that, carlos is playing amazing, but he is starting his career, he will probably play a lot of times in center court in the future, besides i dont really like that center court is the slowest court, i just would like him to play there so he gets used to that conditions, but i really doubt they put them on center court if djokovic is playing the same day about the same time

Even if it was on Monday there's no way Nadal will be playing on court 3. He's way bigger star than Novak is. Give me the stuff you are smoking. Wasn't Novak complaining of being on court 1 all the time in 2018 so he got his centre court in qf?
