I'm just GLAD that the hype around Alcaraz will calm down now.
QF in French and R4 in Wimbledon.
Please let's NOT put him in the slam contender category.

The slam race is wide open now. People thought Alcaraz will take slams AWAY from Novak - but that doesn't look likely to happen.

OMG this boards have the most childish comments i have ever seen. A guy who is 19 and has barely any experience on grass is having a bad day on round 4 and People are going nuts. Give him time, BTW He can still win the game. I think he will in 5.. I guess you have never played tennis.

Like we thought he’s no Nadal. I mean not many are though. Rafa was a freak of nature at 18. Still is now.
Alcaraz is only going to decline with age. He’s already got elbow issues and will lose speed which sets him apart from the tour.

This match so far has been about weak mentality rather than his ability. If he can’t do it now with a field this weak I won’t ever be convinced he has it in him to break through here.

Norrie and Paul on here as well. Thankfully the red button works online so I can watch centre court.

Sinner smoking Carlos boots at the minute.

Alcaraz will have to improve his return on grass. It's not there yet. This is only like his 2nd grass tournament though so he will get better.

Budget Berdych is clearly more suited for grass than Alcaraz at this early point in Carlos' career. He looked great in the last couple of round where he had plenty of time for his big swings but Sinner is taking the ball earlier and his serve winning him free points.

Speed also sets Nadal and Djokovic apart from the tour but they are still faster than players 10 to 15 years younger at 35

Dude is BARELY winning pts. He can't get the serve back. Spraying all OVER the place. And you think he will win in 5 sets?
Even a comeback from 2 sets down happens when the match is close. RIght now it's a BLOWOUT. DId you look at the stats and pts won etc etc?

Sinner is literally inhabited by the spirit of Djokovic today. Returning his serve to his feet, killer depth opening up space for the angles. The old man will be proud.

Imo it’s mental what sets them apart. They bring their best tennis on pressure moments rather than the other way round.

He's not used to this shot tolerance as well. He's used to taking control with his power and then they can't stay with him. Sinner is just solid off the ground with power as well when he's playing well.

LOL why did Sinner choose today of all days to play good and why did Alcaraz choose today to lay an egg. Alcaraz could have played like this in the final against Nadal

Djokovic is the GREATEST returner in the HISTORY of Tennis. He has put great servers like Federer to the sword. Alcaraz is not serving well and he is making Sinner look better than he actually is. Honestly, this match is more about Alcaraz being abysmal than Sinner GOATing.

BTW Alcaraz is the only hope of having a competitve match with Djokovic before the final. Sinner would roll easily
Why won’t Alcaraz crumble like this against Djokovic in a QF if he’s crumbling under the pressure of the mighty Sinner and Centre Court.

I am so disappointed in his game today. From 8 errors in the last match to an error every other rally.
