Backhand was sick today. Forehand penetrating power, that was completely non-existent in the 1st round, was there. Serve was good. Didn't hit many aces because Kokk got a racket on so many. Return and movement were great. Net play was also great. Solid 8.5-8.7.

Looking more like the fav now?

Agreed with the caveat that this is a 8.5 and close to as well as 35 yr old Djokovic can play.

I would not be sure how to rate it compared to his prime form, 2011/15 Djokovic for example was still an elevated clear level or two above this.

Well he's not reaching 2015 level ever again. I think that level is a clear difference than 2011 because he was more complete of a player. 2011 was up there too but mostly the highest ballstriking level from the baseline. This level today was higher than what I saw in 2019 and only in the 2nd round in 2021 against Anderson.

That was a very good performance from Djoko. I have to keep in mind however the opponent who was just out of his depth on court with Djoko

Grass definitely rewards precise movement over sliding.

Generally speaking Fed relies on balance and anticipation, Novak on flexibility and great reach and Nadal on raw footspeed and explosive footwork.

First is clearly best for grass, 2nd for HCs and 3rd for clay. It's quite fitting to why each have a specific best surface

Nadal has the 'stopping' problem on grass while sliding. His recovery footwork is put off by that. His never ending slide is a non-issue on clay and helps his explosiveness even more.

He looked excellent apart from his serve which seems a bit down on speed.

Hard to say because I don't see serve speeds on the Wimbledon site. The 2nd serve definitely looked slower in the 1st round. The serve looked good today to me.

Djok has raised his level quite a bit. I can't just say this is all on the Kokk.

Not a good sign for his half. Then again, aside from maybe Alcaraz, the rest are mugs of the highest order who would probably have lost to Novak even in his Kwon form.
What about Andy Murray?

The returns were other worldly today I thought
Alcaraz is looking good. Dare I say a potential Djokovic v Alcaraz QF the Defacto final. I'm a Rafa fan but on grass nowadays Rafa is not a contender unless Alcaraz Djokovic go out as his serve is nowhere near good enough on grass and tbh neither are his returns which are the two crucial shots on grass

Lots of tennis to be played but that wouldn't be the de facto final. The draw has yet to unfold. Alcaraz is good but he's being severely overhyped.

Everyone looks good in the first week against scrubs. Even Tsitsipas and Med were looking good at RG then both sh*t the bed in the 4th round.

I remember when he was touted along with Kyrgios as the next big Aussie thing. The last Aussie I found genuinely likable was Rafter. Hewitt was good, but not very friendly

Kokk could barely even beat
I've given up with Tsitsipas. Most overrated player ever.
He's beaten Federer and Nadal both at the AO and came close against Djokovic at RG twice. He's definitely a top player but very inconsistent just like all the young gen.

No for me he is hugely overrated. Beat an injured Nadal not interested Djokovic and way past it Federer.
