As much as I agree with that... who would've thought he'd be in a SF at a GS
It's a surprise that Kyrgios hasn't been in numerous semifinals at majors. He's just not a guy who wants to work hard. Look at his legs. Then look at Nadal's and Federer's legs. It's obvious Kyrgios doesn't train a fraction as hard as these elite guys. Tennis is an afterthought for him.

Nadal didn’t sound like he would play. Kyrgios is getting a bye most likely.
I really hope this doesnt happen. It would be such an unsatisfactory way to reach the final and put a bit of an asterix next the win if he were to win the tournament. Nadal should have some physio and pain killers to get him through the match.

Bull to send the thug packing back to the federal courts of Australian in whatever it takes.

Let's go, Bull. Finnish this mug and set a final with DjokoKing. Tennis and the world need this.

AO yes. US Open no. and indoors no. and cincinatti no. toronto no. federer overall is better on hardcourts
Fed hasn’t shown anything at the USopen to suggest otherwise. Nadal has beat Djokovic twice in finals so I don’t see why anyone thinks Nadal wasn’t the better USopen player at this point.

federer has beat djokovic three times at us open. and overall federer is a better hardcourt player than nadal period. has a better record on hardcourt. has a better h2h on hardcourt. and on grass as well federer is better than nadal.

You really don't get why a difference of 2 Slams will feel better for Federer fans than a difference of 3+? Or you just wanted to say the bolded?
I just don’t understand why some still passionately root against him is all. I get why’d they would root against Novak.

and there's a big difference between surpassing the slam count by winning more french opens, compared to other slams. doesn't really add much to his legacy other than to cement his place as the greatest clay courter of all time

I think they add plenty to his legacy. I just don't see why it seems weird to people that Federer fans don't want Nadal to pull away even more in the Slam count.

What difference does 3+ make? Fed is already well behind both of his main rivals and objectively cannot be considered the GOAT. His career is over so might as well choose a side for the remainder of the actual GOAT race and most normal people will choose Nadal.

it cements his legacy further as the greatest clay courter. the slam count being lopsided towards one slam does make a difference

bs. I still consider Sampras the goat. goat is not based on slam count and titles alone, but against the level of competition. any great player can vulture a weak field. there's a reason that borg is considered a greater player than roy emerson despite the lower slam count

The GOAT is not an objective metric. One can objectively lead the Slam race, but 'the greatest' is a different, isn't it? I'm not choosing any sides because I feel a certain way about what's been going on at the top level on the tour for the past few seasons and how that affected the numbers between the Big 3.

No comment about what normal people would choose.

I dont even understand how people say Nadal has surpassed Federer. 2 more Slams thanks to 14 thousand FOs. Federer is so much better than Nadal on hard and grass it's not even funny.

Btw Ive had enough of this drama queen daisy and his fake injuries. That cherry boy Nadal has no effing clue what an actual injury is. Tear an ACL in your knee like I did a couple of years ago and then clutch out 4.5h matches against a player 11 years your junior. Little faking liar, how anyone treats him seriously is beyond me. His unborn baby probably dodany believe this phony noob.

Not changing my mind until I see a W/O or retirement.

THIS! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

If Nadal plays the way he did against Fritz, Kyrgios wins in 3. If Nadal is 100%, Nadal is a very slight favorite. I'm rooting for Nadal because Kyrgios is apparently a domestic abuser.

Games played in the quarter finals:

Nadal: 55
Norrie: 50
Djokovic: 45
Kyrgios: 32

Nick should be physically fit, let's see if he's mentally fit as well.
