Shockingly, off-court MTO for Emma after she finally wins her second game.
That’s just wrong on so many levels. Weak generational thing I guess…Has Raducanu ever called the trainer when she is not losing?
Emma gets injure after 3-4 matches it seems! Still doing much better without a permanent coach! Andresscu is a tough draw and she is very hungry to win and get back to the top 20s, maybe top10.
Raducanu needs to keep her ranking up for both her young career, fan support and sponsorship! It very hard to work oneself back to the main draw. You only get 5-6 WCs unless you are Andy Murray! After that it is qualifying tournaments and if you fall beow 120 ish in the ranking, it the 125 WTA level and Challenger circuit!Need to get fully healed now, and if that means missing RG then so be it

Knowing Emma though she's probably already committed to a photoshoot where she's hanging off the side of the Eiffel Tower wearing pearls, so maybe she'll play just once more before the grass.
Emma is young and her body should grow stronger! Only 4 GS a year and each round of a GS is worth 4-5X point wise of a 500 level 1st round. Sponsors do not like a player to skip a GS event! If she skip tournament, must be mental excuse like that of Osaka/Andresscu! Then it is okay! The thing is, even if you win one round half fit, then lose the next round, you're only making the bare minimal gains but at the same time adding more wear and tear to the body.
As a British fan, I'm genuinely worried this is going the same way as Laura Robson, who for anyone who doesn't know made the last 16 at two slams but was finished by 22 or 23 years old due to injury.
Raducanu already has 5 mid match retirements at the professional level (for mostly different ailments). That doesn't include the matches where she was injured but soldiered on to the end - Kalinic, Rybakina, also whoever the girl was that she played in Austria etc.
I say heal, train lightly, and return for the grass personally. Not 'manage' the body through the marathon of RG - good lord, imagine if she won a few rounds in epic bruisers. That would be it until the US Open lol

Paid money is very, very small sum too! Tournament money is almost nothing! Win a single title $7-$12K. Lost 1st rd. MD $800. Plus,no more entourage, maybe no coach either!
It is not an odd thing at all actually. The answer is No. ER has never called for an MTO when she was not losing. Her leg was bleeding at the USO, yet she never cared about it, because she was winning. If she had been losing, what do you think? That's an odd thing to say or imply. The vast majority of players call an MTO when they are losing because whatever health concern is impacting them, it is to the extent that it is affecting their game negatively, causing them to lose. In other words, there is a direct cause and effect relationship between losing because of a health concern and asking for an MTO.
I agree you only have to look at her opponent today to see what journey she has been on, after the winning the US open , another talented youngster,The thing is, even if you win one round half fit, then lose the next round, you're only making the bare minimal gains but at the same time adding more wear and tear to the body.
