Iga looks bad though. Her serve is all over the place, she’s hit two lines on 2nd serve that didn’t look confident at all. Sabalenka is absolutely destroying second serves if they aren’t kickers or deep. She’s clearly better from the baseline though so should still win

however Sabalenka will self destruct of course, just give her some time. I did know this would be a close one though… Saba was by far the better player in the USO match they played and is one of the few players in tennis history who can truly hit a defender like Iga off the court.

In the first set Iga played terribly, but in the second set she got better, pretty much a better player in all areas.
The third set is actually pretty even, but Sabalenka goating on serve.

Another year where a player who didn't win a slam in that year or has never even won a slam will be the Year End Champion.

2015: Radwanska (non slam champ)

Barty in 2019 aside, no player has won the YEC while being a reigning slam champ since Serena did it back to back to back from 2013-2015. Happening again this year.

I’d like to mention that Sabalenka is the same player who going into the Australian Open this year had some of the worst yips we had ever seen. 20+ double faults a match and serving some absolute stinkers. Now she’s ended the dominant #1s run and is into the YEC final. Quite the turnaround.

All those players are done. Except, potentially, for Osaka. I don't see her just turning up and pulling a Serena though i.e. winning out of nothing. I think if Osaka wins another major we'll get some warning signs first.

3 'ovas' and a 'tens': Siniakova/Krejcikova v Kudermetova/Mertens. I'd say it'll be a very good match. IMO, pretty much the top two teams that should be in the Final IS in the Final. I wish they don't play this on weekday, though.

They are definitely the two best doubles teams. Should be a great match, but hard to beat Siniakova and Krejcikova (won 3 majors in 22).

Doubtful. The arena has a terrible layout for a tennis tournament. Primarily used for Rodeo's vs. traditional sporting events. Would have been better off in Dallas at AA arena.
