Djokovic needs to be careful here. Nadal is out for 8 plus weeks, so will not be back until clay season.

Couacaud has got fight in him, I'll give him that. Let's see if he's able to take advantage of Djokovic's hampered movement here in the third.

Nothing too unusual for Djokovic. Remember he never won a Slam without losing a set. But often the lost sets were in earlier rounds where it didn't matter at all.

Djokovic has come out swinging. Pretty arrogant response from the Frenchman after he won that 2nd set. You haven't won yet buddy.

I particularly enjoyed the part where he pointed to the ground and then to his head
Match was never going to end just after winning 1 set - he doesn't really have much Bo5 experience and Djoko was always going to come out firing

Yea cool your jets. He played well that set, no doubt, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. There's a lot more tennis to be played.

The really worrying thing for me is that even if Djokovic comes through this match, we'd still only be at the 3R stage. I know he's done some incredible things throughout his career but if he somehow wins the tournament in this physical state it really would be a miracle.

Yeah exactly. There's definitely concerns about the injury / physical condition but I was feeling somewhat ok for this match regardless
I'm way more worried about a top opponent like Rune who has actually shown ability to keep going for a few hours - and is getting through early rounds efficiently

Djokovic didn't look discouraged even when he was in more pain earlier. Makes you feel he will play on and thinks he can pull this out. I think the painkillers are kicking in now though but it only gets tougher if he wins here.

"And all of the sudden Djokovic looks fine on both legs, doesn't look hindered at all" - Eurosport commentator just now

Mannarino up a set and a break on De Minaur and Bonzi on serve in 5th set vs. PCB. Djokovic looking at a cakewalk

Yeah, Djokovic is out there trying to win while moving as little as possible. At this point you have to question him and/or his physio team for letting him play the Adelaide final and then an exho.
