This feels like one of those matches where I'll set an alarm for an hour into the match, wake up, check my phone to look at the score, see that it's a blowout, and go back to sleep without ever having to even turn the TV on.
I’ll just wake up and watch the highlights lol

Yup lol, the other day I was giving/overseeing defenses of student projects, knew I wasn't gonna miss anything and just checked the score ~1h20m into the match to see the first two sets were already gone and he'd already broken in the third :-D

Anybody from the EST time zone gonna get up and watch this? Enjoy.
No way. What is the point? Unless you enjoy a bloodbath.
With Fed retired, Nadal about to and Alcaraz injured, Tennis has lost some excitement. It'sbecome very predictable, but at the same time Novak is showing that he indeed is likely the GOAT.

I think the only wild card here is what kind of Djokovic turns up. As he is getting older, we could see sudden drop in his physical condition from one match to another, and that will be a variable to his game from now on. Other than that, I don't think anything will stop him from winning another AO. 3-1, Djokovic.

They just showed Djokovic walking down a locker room corridor with his coaches and the guy was yawning. I guess he feels pretty relaxed about playing Rublev in an hour.

In the good old days, a major really started for the Big 3 with the QFs. Here we are but only Novak is to be seen. One match at a time for him but he has got to be the odds-on favorite.

Main event time. This is the big match of the quarter finals, the two seeds have made the showdown. So many questions to be answered in this one. How is the hamstring? How are the nerves for Rublev? Both will be favorites to win the semi whoever wins.

So many questions to be answered. How many games will Rublev win?

I don’t think Rublev remotely believes he can win this match at all. He seems to have this weird modesty compared to people like Tsitsipas - before the Tour finals there were some interviews on YouTube and he basically said something like “yeah this is a strong field, I look around and go ‘what the hell am I doing here?’”. Have some more arrogance and belief ya mook. It’s a bit like when mug gen face Nadal on clay

Djokovic playing a lot of slices. Is he hoping Rublev will UE himself away? Or does he think Rublev benefits more from pace?

I doubt that Tsitsipas really believes it more though. And often he seemed to be quite happy to just be there either. At least in his posts after matches.

What a hold from Rublev! Let's go! He should be fired up after Novak essentially called him another De Minaur in the PC. Upto him to prove otherwise.

Great effort from Rublev to hold his serve, but if he needs to play/win such exchanges over and over again in order to survive, good luck to him...

At one return Novak looked limping on bis FH side after he couldn't return it ( first game) has he got new injury in right leg?
