In the previous round injured Djokovic straight setted choking Dimitrov, so the usual. De Minaur lost 1 set in his first 3 rounds, but only played lesser players, so the usual as well.

Worried about this one Novak is injured and Du Minaur is tough he gets everything back and will not make it easy! Still have to back Novak to find a way through but could be tough

This injury bull sh*t is blatant lie. I respect Novak for how great he is with his ability in tennis, but I think any reasonable people now have realized he has a long history of faking injuries. These are all top athletes playing in the open and with any real injuries, especially at 35, you wouldn't be able go far like Novak has done. I think AO, as predicted at the beginning of the tournament, is Djokovic's to lose. He is 99% locked for no.10 and equaling Nadal at slam counts.

I think the worst type of match up for Djokovic is the power player who is not slow and can hit extremely big from both wings and also has big serves. Like Wawrinka. Speed Demon will be tamed easily.
Exactly, who cares that he can retrieve everything without doing a lot with the ball. The worst type of player for Djokovic right now is one that can move him around, De Minuar is the opposite of that.

I agree to some extent, he is not seriously injured, but something is wrong for sure. His movement is heavily restricted, and that is the most important part of his game! He is hitting ball a lot harder, serving also, so that he can short points as much. Again it is not career ending injury, but it exist

Djokovic 7-5 6-3 6-2
First set Djokovic will break early then demon will break back and Djokovic will start having hamstring issues, mto will come and then Djokovic will start moving as if a Fairy came to remove all his pain

The most important part of his game? It used to be, sure. But he is taking the initiative much more these days. Hitting big, serving big rather than grinding it out.

Dimitrov hits big and if Djokovic's movement was 10% limited compared to normal, he would've lost. I think he may have some muscle aches, something professional athletes live with, but not real injuries that limit his performances.

Djokovic had no signs of injury till 5:3. He finished first set thanks to stupid mistakes from Dimitrov's side, not thanks to great tennis. In second he destroyed him, and in third it was visible both players played as crappy as it gets. Djokovic was really glad it didn't went to 4th set

If De Minaur wins a set I will be very surprised. If he is to win one though it will be the first set where Djokovic is most likely to start slow and find his form, or most likely to act injured. Viewer's choice how they interpret it.

I was dining out and didn't catch the match, but I know how Dimitrov plays so just assumed. Was he not playing well?
Djokovic was there for the taking if Dimitrov had played well/hadn't been Dimitrov. Especially in the first set. But Dimitrov gifted everything back and then some. And failed to test Djokovic' movement, extend rallies, make him stretch etc., etc.
In short, he played a brainless match

Why so panicky? You don't honestly think Djokovic is gonna win the tournament do you?!

Didn't watch. Not surprised that Dimi did not move the Djoker around. Stupid to not make an effort to try that tactic. Then again, maybe Dimi just didn't have the game to make it happen. Not surprised by the outcome.

I am confused as I did not watch Novak-Dimitry match. Just how bad was Novak when he won in straight sets?

He was fine. He just upped the level of the ruse when Dimitrov played well... and Greg promptly crumbled.

De Minaur is the guy who criticized Novak for deciding what he wanted, or didn't want to in this case, put in his body... If I remember correctly.

Take him to the cleaners, Nole.

I can't believe this is the 1st meeting between these 2.
This will be a blockbuster match no matter what. The crowd is crazy about De Minaur since that 2019 run and that loss against Nadal. The atmosphere is electric when he plays but same for Nole. A night session match on the RLA, that's the perfect conditions for both players.
I've always wanted to see an epic battle between these 2.
Hopefully it won't be ruined by an injury.

Djokovic is definitely injured, I doubt he wins this match. Rune will take him out for sure before the finals. You literally have to stretch Djokovic out wide on the backhand a few times and you get a free win. Dimitriv is such a mug and played like one.

I like how Djokovic retiring will be an option in these polls every round, and he will still lift the trophy.

Finally some good content. ADM probably isn’t the guy to do this though

ADM doesn't give Djokovic the kind of power he needs to counterpunch effectively, and covers the court better than most

Could be an issue if the injury is legit.
He kinda poses the same issues as Medvedev but with a much worse serve, so it will be interesting but ultimately NID as long as Djokovic is somewhat OK.

Djokovic is hampered but from what I've seen Demon doesn't have the firepower or the serve to trouble Djokovic

One thing I'd like Deminaur to try lots of drop shots, None of Djokovic's opponents did it on a consistent basis
