If Novak pulls this out…that’s going to be a challenge.
I felt the Adelaide final was the test of it the day after. He didn't move well to the backhand side in that match and didn't hit his backhand well but his movement was good enough to pull it off. I think his problem is, he played too many practice matches that week before the tournament and then played that exhibition. That's why it may be even more sore now. If he had played less that week, it probably would be less sore than it is now.Yeah I agree. It's definitely worth playing on here. I thought after the second set against Couacaud that it would continue to deteriorate so I was in two minds about it at that point but he's clearly able to run pretty hard when required and it doesn't look like it's going to get a whole lot worse than it has been for these past two matches. He'll regret not giving it his best shot against this wasteland of a field.
So much toxicity in this thread. I honestly believe for a lot of Nadal fans if they were granted just one wish it wouldn't be for continued good health for their loved ones or a lottery win or world peace but simply for Djokovic to not win this year's Australian Open. I mean how sad is that?!![]()
In a great form too, mind you.
Tough askIf Novak pulls this out…that’s going to be a challenge.
I doubt it. He surprised me enough already this tournament. Just hope he stays healthy reallyWill win the AO just like he did with his tear.
From the body language, Nole seems more at ease than in the 1st set. He can handle it now.Djoko gets 2nd set. Really gruelling match for his hamstring though. He’s surging somehow due to his mentality.
Do you have a link to Federer practice session streaming?you all need to switch this off and go and watch the GOAT doing his thing on the other court ASAP
Tbh he looks pretty comfortable moving side to side in the baseline rallies (as long as they're neutral and he isn't on the back foot or having to stretch into the corners) though... it's mainly sudden dynamic movements on the return than are bothering him. I'm more worried about guys with a big serve and plus one ball that can make Djokovic move, especially if they have decent shot tolerance to boot. Novak is going to get a lot of free looks at De Minaur service games without having to overexert himself. The guy doesn't have the firepower to ragdoll Djokovic either, so I like that match-up for him in the next round actually, especially because Novak has looked so comfortable playing aggressive front foot tennis to start the year.Yes, worst type of player to go against.
If you're in the UK, you can get AO coverage by getting the additional Discovery+ package it looks like.

I am and I have, but its just not appearing. Don't stress it googling how to bluetooth connect laptop to tv. Meanwhile, leg looks great, commentators talking about the injury, have there been any medical time outs or worrying signs?
To be fair djoko moving a bit better at moment.Amazing shot.
Yeah honestly I'm not particularly happy with the way it's been managed by his team but it is what it is. Novak just has to make the best of the situation now.I felt the Adelaide final was the test of it the day after. Did he take painkillers on mto? I meant Dimitrov's bending forehand though. Lol.To be fair djoko moving a bit better at moment.
Who said this? Are they still on the forum?Ridiculous comment... even from you and that's saying something...
You want to know sad? How about wishing Nadal's wife death and the baby to be stillborn?
Maybe you should preach your moral compass to those idiots before making baseless assumptions about Nadal fans...
Maybe. It definitely helped him a bit. He’s been in bit less pain which is good.Did he take painkillers on mto?
Agree, moving better too. And much fewer poor errorsFrom the body language, Nole seems more at ease than in the 1st set. He can handle it now.
Yea pretty much.Yeah honestly I'm not particularly happy with the way it's been managed by his team but it is what it is. Novak just has to make the best of the situation now.
I would say a lotTo be fair djoko moving a bit better at moment.
Only 3ue 2nd set which is what made the differenceAgree, moving better too. And much fewer poor errors
Nah, only the wiggles, some iffy shots, and some winces from Novak.
Djokovic haters say Djokovic is faking but they are praying to GOD that his injury is real.
Djokovic fans say Djokovic is really injured but they are hoping he is faking and not really injured.
********* will say the painkillers are kicking in as Djokovic closes this 2nd set.
Thanks for the heads. Feels like Grigor couldn't beat him if he was in wheelchair tonight. Man is in love with the netNah, only the wiggles, some iffy shots, and some winces from Novak.
Little bit of both. Novak definitely doing better, but Dimi still making UEs the way he does.Injury gone or Dimi being Dimi?
Not watching atm.
