Even if Novak wins this, he has no chance against deMinaur... The guy moves like a Flash.... No way the leg holds that one..
Yes, he has the absolute worst opponent waiting in the next round if he wins this.
What are you guys talking about… no De Minaur is not the fear, it’s Rune or even Rublev who’d be far more dangerous… De Minaur’s serve is just asking to be attacked, and Novak can play on the front foot there. If he’s dictating the point and going for shots he’s actually fine, more than fine.

De Minaur will have some nice highlights but nothing to hurt Djokovic with power wise.

no, someone who can serve big and change direction with power would be a bigger challenge as that aspect of Novak’s movement is awful right now.

Philosopher might win his maiden slam here .... have you put your money on him?

Rublev or Rune are way more dangerous, no doubt about it. I was thinking one match at a time..

Woke up and turned it on

my observations
-Novak’s movement is fine when it’s footwork based, awful when it’s stretch based or explosive
- Dimitrov is so inconsistent it’s ridiculous
- Dimitrov made a deal pre match to not stretch Novak’s movement too much as a favor to his friend?
- Djokovic is not winning this tournament.
Agree with all except this. Draw is easy enough to get it done.

I don't know about Djokovic not lasting past De Minaur. Dimitrov moved well tonight and hits bigger from the baseline, and has a better serve. I like his chances better in that one than I do against Rune or Rublev.

Dimitrov hits the most important shots of the set half-way up the net, the definition of a choker.

Unrivalled thrill of competing on display yet again. Stunning.

He lives to fight another day. That's the most one can ask for under current circumstances. Though cautiously I still keep higher expectations.

Don't squirm over freaking De Minaur guys, what the hell lol...
