That’s just cheating from Alcaraz. You either make your ridiculous noise/grunt on every shot or you don’t do it at all. You can’t just do it randomly mid rally. That’s what got Djokovic the hindrance violation at Wimbledon.
Did it extend into Paul’s shot? That’s the only thing that would cause a hindrance call. Grunting differently on different shots is 100% within the rules.

Alcaraz in 3 if he's still finding his feet in Toronto, in straights if he is starting to feel more comfortable.

It's time for Carlos to find his groove, with Sinner and Medvedev likely to come in SF and F. Maybe this is the match where he will?
Prediction may still be correct ... Although I admit Paul is causing more trouble to Alcaraz than I expected. Let's hope Carlos finds his groove in this third set!

he's a top 20 player and rising. Contrary to popular (ttw) belief, the world's top tennis players are pretty good - even those without 20 slams.
He's striking the ball better than players like Tsitsipas, Medvedev etc. I'm not seeing any obvious weakness.

Absolutely no shame if CA loses this match. Paul has played like a god.

That being said, I hope he can break back and keep his streak going.

Paul is an amazing mover. Alcaraz really struggling to get an edge with the drop shot like he does vs most guys.

Reading that Ferrero isn't in Alcaraz's box, so he's probably struggling to make adjustments to the same degree without the constant chatter he usually gets.
