Alcaraz shaking his fist and looking to his box after every halfway decent point is annoying, like he desperately needs approval. And his extended grunts on key points is a hindrance that he should get called on.
I'm convinced that's why he lost early in Toronto. Ferrero wasn't there. It explains everything.

Have we reassessed already the number of GS the kid is gonna win?

He cant go on being constantly beaten on the first set of every match he plays

It looks like Alcaraz has had another letdown like he did last year after winning the USO. He's playing horrible. It's not looking good for his USO title defense in this form.

Alcaraz looks overplayed to me, as I initially thought. Everything looks off, and because of that he is trying too hard instead of allowing his free flowing game to work. Every match has been a struggle for him during this NA season.

He will. He has no chance against Novak in this tournament. He's been sh*t all week and he's not going to suddenly become a monster. Nah. Novak's got this.
I think he meant Novak might not get the chance to even H2H if Carlos loses here.

Still there is no guarantee Djokovic beats Zverev or hubie back to back here if Alcaraz goes out. Both guys playing well and serving good.

That being said I will never rule Alcaraz out in any match until the last point is over.

And he’s played 3 sets for every match this week. I smell an upset to either Sinner/Djokovic. He will not defend that USO title

That’s true. However, I expect him to be much better in us open.

He’s a different beast in majors and he has more breathing room being best of 5. Us open is also slower than cincy which helps him.

One thing to keep in mind here, if Alcaraz loses this match, Djokovic can get the number one ranking back by winning the title.

If Djokovic gets the number one ranking back this week, he is smashing that 400 week barrier no doubt, as he has zero points to defend in USO while Alcaraz has 2000.

This is the second consecutive week that they're facing each other, and their 3rd overall match.

Their match Last week was an extremely strange one; Alcaraz looked to be on his merry way in set 3 with a 5-2 lead on serve with a few match points and then bloody fell apart to lose next 4 games, only to regain composure at 5-6, level the scoreline and win the deciding set in a tiebedbreaker.

Who do you think would be victorious this time? Alcaraz has dropped a set in all 3 of his matches so far, but seems to be finding his groove, particularly towards the end of the matches.

Hope we get a good one.
is this fear of plalying novak in the final that's making alcarez play bad ?
