Carlos will win - he is much more patient now and he will do whatever he has to do to win the match. He has several goals that he wishes to achieve, and when he is motivated he achieves his goals!

So when are they going to get on with it? I'm sitting here at home sick with a cold or flu or covid or something and am tired of watching yesterday's replays.

It's supposed to be tonight at 7PM (eastern standard time)
Ok, looks like I'll have to wait all day. At least the earlier matches look decent on paper. The Eubanks/Medvedev match will most likely be a very short match but it's good to see Eubanks making it even this far.

Carlos has been more patient lately - less double faults, less errors, more relaxed. If he can keep from being injured it will be really difficult for anyone to win when they play him. He had a turning point tournament at Indian Wells - the things he needed to improve he has finally mastered; much better serves, far fewer errors, much more consistent play. This doesn't mean he will never lose, only that it will be increasingly difficult to defeat him. Here's hoping he wins tonight! Vamos Carlos! (:

Carlos vs. Fritz is like Fed vs. Ferrer. Just different realms of ability and talent. Ferrer and Fritz are great, but never will be great enough.
Well fritz is very different from ferrer, i know you mean like cuality in general but fritz has a serve and a forehand, on a good day could do damage

Fritz has zero chance if his first serve percentage doesn't improve and no overall Fritiz is NOT as good as Alcaraz.

Looks a little different when you get the first serve in. Medvedev couldn't get his serve right the whole final at IW.

I think Fitz is red lines just to keep up at this point. Physically Taylor isn’t going to be able do do this all match though. I have Alcz in 2, but even if somehow Fritz manages this first set, I set heavy leg losses in the 2nd and especially third if needed.
