Can’t wait to see FH-FH rallies between Alcaraz and Djokovic if they can keep the quality at AO (Djokovic) and Indian Wells/Miami (Carlos) levels.

No I don't think so. Fritz is much better than Ferrer no matter how many times you say that.
I'm talking career stats. It's no contest right now.

Ferrer:

27 career tournaments
4 slam semis
Highest rank #3

Fritz:

5 career tournaments
1 career 4R in a slam
Highest rank #5

Sure, Fritz has some years ahead of him to catch Ferrer. I wouldn't bank on that.

I haven't given up yet on Medvedev pushing him real hard if they meet again on Sunday.
I still favor Carlos but the surface does favour Meddy more than IW. He also self destructed a lot, missing shots he makes almost every time. Hopefully he’ll bring it

And Ferrer achieved that in the era of 3 GOATs.

I don't want any Alcaraz fan to ever complain about Sabalenka's yelling after every shot, ever!

It’s funny to see how Carlos detractors has gone from bashing his serve, height and fitness to complain about grunting, fist pumps or just simply “Fed more sexy lol”.

Makes sense though, when you’ve been proven wrong on every point, you’ll have to resort to absolute pointlessness.

The kid is at a higher level faster than Fed and Djokovic at the same age.
yes but we all know that doesn't translate to him having the highest potential peak (although he could, but we don't know that).

Nadal peaked much earlier than Fed but Fed still had the much higher peak on anything other than clay

It's not uncommon for a baseball pitcher to mow down batters for 3 innings and then come down to earth in the middle innings as batters get to process how he's playing and make adjustments. Carlos is very good, there's no denying that. But I predict there will be an element of "bounce" as players face him a couple of times and learn his game and how to defend and attack it. I'd love to see Med do this in the final here, but he has said he will not make adjustments based on one bad loss.

Every set Fritz starts with a lousy serve game. If his first serve game had been better each set, the match might look a little different.

But yeah, I know...

One of the fun reasons to watch Carlos’ matches is that no one wants to grind against him and so his opponents play more aggressively. Fun to watch two offensive players go at it.

Reminds me of Novak vs Med at USO 21. He got broke in every opening serve game. Even lost one leading 40-15..
