Already down to the quarterfinals................................
Thanks for starting this thread.
Yep, we're at the business end of the proceedings with some potentially interesting quarters. Good to see Anderson competing again.
To use a nautical analogy as we're by the coast, I've nailed my colours to the mast of Tommy Paul in the hope he'll win it.

EDIT: Crikey! Mannarino thrashing Thompson in the first set.

Trying to watch the Paul/Isner match live.

Is anyone else’s sound out of sync? I refreshed several times and it’s still delayed by about 5 seconds. What the hell? I’ve never encountered this before.

Tommy P started wearing a watch like a d ouche
Can’t take anyone seriously wearing a watch in pro tennis Grigor hurk as well.

I know little about Mannarino off court, but I love his game.
Mannarino has been one of my long term favourites ,as he can play beautifully when in the zone. Creatively.

I like Isner, but not his game. Much prefer TP's game, so I hope he can get through here.

Not surprised that KA is out.

Edit - TP outplayed in the 3rd set tb. So, should it be this interesting kid Michelsen / Mannarino in the final ?

Glad to see Isner get thru Tommy Paul today. Big John had 2 break points to go up 2 service breaks in the third set. Couldn't get them. Ended up getting breaked in his next service game, that got them back on serve. Got it done in the tiebreak.

I love this tournament too.
The history, the fact it's the only grass court tournament outside of Europe (very limited Europe at that).
All my pals are playing the game I love.
Fast grass, attack attack.
Although some seem to think it's clay baselining :weep

I'm watching Humbert v Mannarino live from a rainy England right now.

Wasn't the Isner v Paul match great!
"Big John, big bad John"

I thought Tommy was going to bury him, just like in the song... Not so fast!

Pleased that Mannarino is through. I hope the kid Michelsen gets through too. early days, but going with serve at present in the 1st set.

Mannarino had the momentum throughout the first set, taking it routinely 6-2. Michelsen seems more settled in the 2nd, holding off the pressure from the Frenchman. Can he take it to a decider?

Edit: No, he could not, losing the 2nd set 6-4. Well done to Mannarino. I'm sure we will see more of Michelsen - he has certainly caught my eye.
Nice speech by the chap from the sponsor Infosys. Michelsen speaks well too - his confidence is impressive. Good to see Mannarino win another ATP tour title - he has played well this year to date. Nice speech from him too.

Nice trophies for both.

Title #3 for Adrian, 2nd on grass and 1st this year. 2 out of his 3 titles have now come on grass.
The surface seems to reward his creativity. I wish there were more fast, low bouncing surface tournaments. Hmm, that'd make guys with games like his more consistently relevant.
