now his father is telling him,,,, "don't worry,,, steapnoe, it was really close... Sinner is hot player right now... you will win the next 2 matches"............. :-D :-D while in fact, nothing could be furthur from the truth. this was more of blow out as any 4, and 4 match could go

Tsitsipas keeping it close......
You said it. I watched the match a single break in each set - not a whitewash. ST played beautifully at times, but was largely outmanoeuvred by JS, who seemed to read his opponent's game like an open book.

What I found particularly admirable is JS' contained strategy. Doing enough, but nothing more and conserving energy, as though aware that he could raise the ante if needed. Very shrewd.

Displaying a superb, attacking yet controlled game, JS will be a formidable opponent for any of his rivals.

He made 2 finals only to lose the goat, lost his way a bit since. I believe he has the talent, some fixes needed hopefully he can get a good coach and push ahead. He played well at Bercy needs to build on it.
He has only 10 titles to his career, at age 25. Murray had to win 20+ career atp titles, at age 25 before he won his first slam. Not a good outlook for Tsitsipas

Like it has been said, Tsitsipas has injury issues and cut his training sessions short earlier in the week. It's a tough one to be out there on this level when you are not 100% fit.

The Philosopher should have given his place to HH then, but it seems that the Greek does not know the meaning of Ethics.
It is a shame that Tsitsipas's actions are a sign of our times.

Or maybe he has 1200 points to defend in January

You get 325k just for participating in the groups. 400k per match win. Unless you have been in such a position, I wouldn't questions someones ethics for trying to play. It's his spot wich he earned.

Money can buy many material things but not the awareness of the good actions of an individual aware of his/her limitations.

The 200 pts for each RR win are much more important to the players than the money. 400k is peanuts to these guys.

Good job Sinner, won last 2 against each of Stefanos and Daniil, turning two terrible records (1-5 and 0-6) around a bit. He's looking the business now.
H2H is misleading in general anyway. You can be behind and still dominate a player for a decade.

Lol? Not even for Djokovic. Getting 400k for one day on a court is special.

I want Sinner to win the whole thing, reason being is the hope new blood wins big title which pushes them to win slams in 2024.

I respect Djokovic and all of his accomplishments but sometimes it does tennis good to see fresh meat.

Fresh meat can wait one more year, Djokovic needs 7th WTF title here.

This match timing is utter sheeit.
Should be dubs, dubs, singles, singles or my favorite dingles.
6 hours in between? Wtf?
Let’s face it …only family members of dubs players care about dubs. Blood related only.

Well Stefan served quite well, more so with his second and his forehand was at times very impressive, however Jannik continues his impressive serving streak and executed his game plan against the backhand well.

I would be ok with that. But he has to earn it.

Zverev won the ATP Finals twice!
Dimitrov won it, and so did Sissy.
When you consider how impossible it is for those guys to win a slam title....
Very hard to attach any kind of prestige to this thing.
