The Philosopher should have given his place to HH then, but it seems that the Greek does not know the meaning of Ethics.
It is a shame that Tsitsipas's actions are a sign of our times.
:(
Sorry, but as others have said, Tsitsipas did not look injured during that match. He didn't seem physically limited at all.

For all you Americans, Nick will be commenting tomorrow during the Holger-Tsits match and then again for the Djoker-Sinner clash. Note: it says Wednesday, but they clarified it will be tomorrow.

Any reason why the late matches are kinda...late? 8pm is better time to start the games as well as to avoid long ass 3h+ matches that last through midnight.

So ONLY way Sinner can win a major is if they put a major in Italy ?? What are the chances of swapping french and italian open to 1000 event and making italian open to Major slam ? so that Sinner can win a major ?

If Sinner plays like he did yesterday, Djokovic might never beat Sinner again. Literally. It's not like Djokovic is going to improve at his age, all he can do is manage his decline.
There is still your daily form. Novak can still have a day on which he plays like in 2015.

There's also BO3 vs BO5. Conventional logic used to say that age decline shows in BO5 first, but Djokovic has not been as dominant in BO3 as in BO5 for a while. Some of that might be motivation, but I think some of it is that in BO5 his experience still plays a bigger role and he can find ways to win.

Decline can come quickly at his age but realistically he reached 4 GS finals this year and won 3 so he's going to be in the mix and have his chances for sure next year.

Novak did not do the things the use to do in important matches like shooting winners into the lines when pressured with crazy angles. Also he did stupid things he does not use to do like nonsense visits to the net in not so proper moments like he thought he was Federer or sending balls to the net in neutral balls. Still, Sinner the match could have gone either way.

I would not disregard him to keep vulturing slams, not matter how I dislike it.

So how goes Alky fit in here, at 1-1 in matches?
His best case scenario would be a straight sets victory here, really either way, as it would place both him and the loser at 1-1 and 2-2 in sets. He should be rooting for Zverev imo, as that way it turns Friday’s Medvedev match into a de facto QF where winner takes all. If Medvedev wins this, then Carlos not only has to beat Medvedev on Friday, he has to hope Rublev plays well enough to at least take a set from Zverev.

Either way, Carlos has to beat Medvedev, likely in straights, to have any hope of qualification.

Rather aggressive display from both guys so far, especially Zverev. Not the push-fest you sometimes expect between these two.

Thanks very much.
