have we no standards other than those imposed on us?

Day session, should start around 1500 on Wednesday.

Zverev looking to make it to 3 consecutive semis at RG! RG is by far his best slam.
It's interesting and sort of odd that players like Tsonga, Soderling, and Zverev are so tough at RG.
You'd think they'd be entirely clueless on clay as none of them are clay specialists.

You didn't enjoy Holger Rune vs Francisco Cerundolo????
7-6(3), 3-6, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(7) in an epic battle!

It turned out to be a dramatic match but it's hardly an interesting matchup. Clara Tauson and Leylah Fernandez played a dramatic match too but it's not an interesting matchup. This tournament has no sex appeal.

My practice buddy keeps reminding me that he beat Etcheverry (when they were juniors). And since I beat my practice buddy a few times in practice (and lost to him about 40 times), I’m going to be rooting for Etcheverry based on the transitive rule of bragging rights.

So you have a full entitlement to claim that you are a moral RG quarterfinalist.
A quarterfinalist at least.

If Zverev's serve gets to that place and stays there for the rest of the week, it could be curtains for everyone.

If he's THAT worried about hitting a second serve up 40-15 in his first service game, it's maybe an indication he's not there.
