Think the wind may be bothering Novak, otherwise, he is not long for this draw and will probably get smacked before the final.

This slam will without a doubt be Novak's toughest slam win in the last many years if he wins it, the main reason is the surface is his worst, his physical state is the worst its been in years and to things worse number 23 is also on the line, so the nervousness would also be there. Very tough slam for sure.... if he wins it then he will win some more after this soon.

Djokovic is easily top 3 all time at drop shot retrieval

That sliding slice pass was just absurd. I have been playing tennis recently and can’t put into words how hard that shot actually is, on a dead sprint as well

5-1 now.

Impressive at 36, isn't it ?

Thats why Alcaraz cannot play the drop shot tricks vs Novak, he is old but his legs still have speed

I suppose it was a little hyperbolic. 7-1 TB

Just a little though
He is old, will have lapses, isn't guaranteed to outpeak the younger guys, but let's not make it less out of his game than what it is on display now.

The first set was quite nice from both, 2nd quite bad from Kova and good from Novak and only the 3rd was subpar

Well, that's just simply untrue, he has lost a fair bit compared to his prime, but definitely still moves incredibly well for a 36-year old
Fair bit is probably an exaggeration. I kinda agree with Courier since I was saying the same thing back in 2021. Lol.

Jim Courier said he's hardly lost anything with his movement while commentating. Says he still moves like he's 26.
I think so too.
That’s a great match from Djokovic. He can build from that a lot. 1 down, 6 to go!
What's missing from Djokovic resume that Fed and Rafa have done multiple times? Winning a slam without dropping a set. The internet says Rafa 4 times. Roger 3 times.

Djokovic will never win a slam without dropping a set. It's ok. No need to have such improbable feats at age 36.

Nadal 4 times and Fed 2 times rather than 3 I think.
