I have never liked Dimitrov and can't recall ever rooting for him except once during the 2017 AO semi vs. Rafa. But I will be rooting for him like a fanatic in order to deny Zedrot getting to the QF. His quarter is so weak that beating Dimitrov virtually assures him a place in the semis. :X3: And I don't trust Rune/Ruud/Jarry keeping Zedrot away from the final. Horrible days ahead possibly for #ABZ.

Rune v Zverev will be a rough one for you in the semis, should it happen. LOL

Having watched both, I think Dimitrov takes this unless he completely goes off the boil. The heavier ball is actually playing into his hands, and Zverev is very up down. Z has the higher peak, but he has big lows also, Dimi has the game to expose that.
Dimitrov couldn't take advantage in MC or Barcelona. In Rome he met a good Djokovic but that match proves nothing. Only Madrid loss is somewhat considerable. Dimitrov probably wouldn't even beat Tiafoe today.

This has the potential to be an epic choke fest, hopefully both guys can keep their nerves together. If they do then Zverev should win, maybe even easily but who knows with these 2.

This is the pick of the R4 matches for me, IF both players play well. Zverev had such great form last year before the injury, world be somehow fitting if he found his game again on PC. But he's not convinced me yet so far. I've always liked Dimitrov, but he has only rarely been able to sustain a high level of play - and his biggest successes didn't come on clay.

It's probably more interesting for the tournament if Zed goes through so I'll go with him in 4.

I will be surprised if Grigor can compete with Zverev in these night conditions. I could see him somehow snatching the first and then dying in the night as it gets colder and slower and deader, but hard to imagine he can come out on top.

Dimitrov Win-Loss record at RG 17-12
Zverev Win-Loss record at RG 26-7

Surprised that Dimitrov has so few wins in 12 years of being at RG

Dimitrov has 3 top 10 wins at GS. Vs Murray in Wimby 2014, vs maybe injured Roger in USO19 and vs totally declined Thiem in AO21.

Zverev has 1 top 10 win at GS.
