It is a no brainer, Zverev is determined as hell in this tournament, he will destroy Dimitrov and probably everyone until the final, if he loses he will lose in the final.

Jessus fing christ

Not even one game in and we saw the full house of horrors from Dim.

A double fault, a weak, tentative set of points, another DF, and then a routine slice sent about 4 feet long on BP.

I knew he’d choke but to capitulate like that on the opening game? Really? Even I’m surprised.

Carlos/Djokovic are going to totally brutalize the finalist from the bottom half, it won’t be pretty.
I agree lol but Zverev hit a couple missiles too

If you don't like that, you don't like Lost Gen tennis.

Zverev always has to build his confidence up to play aggressively, but then when he finally manages to do that, it's great to watch
Yea he can just hit the cover off the ball consistently when he wants. It's why I was so shocked that he played kinda passively against Jarry, letting him dictate, the guy hits too big for that.

I know we have spoken about the top half being the heavier half. But if the bottom half has Ruud, Rune and Zverev in the quarters, that's not a bad line up at all.

He plays in his head too much. Beyond the most obvious signs of nerves when he DFs or hits bad UEs, his passiveness rears its ugly head every time he has doubts and he just sort of drags his game through the motions in fear of making a mistake.

It would be great to see Zverev make the final or even win it. It would be some story after his horrific injury last year. What a comeback he’s made. Happy for him.

lets admit it Grigor is done... if i were the prime time ticket holder,, i would ask for money back or refund
Or at least one of his towels...

Lol at the "Pete Sampras" answer
Haha, I saw that as well. ;)

And imagine he really would have made a comeback exactly then and would have played 12 perfect months for getting #1 in early 2008, then it would still just have been the same age as Federer when he was #1 the last time. How things have changed in terms of age.

It's sad to see an obviously good and gifted player fade away time and time again in these stages of slams. Dimi easily diminishes players he should beat with ease but then come 4th R when it's time to play top players/high seeds he fades away.
