He can play backhands and forehands, baseline or at net, power or touch, he can defend and attack with his faultless form, he's crazily at home on multiple surfaces at so young an age, and his English has improved at a crazy rate in the past year way beyond that of other slam winning Spaniards you might name, and yet... He has developed one of the more annoying grunts on tour.

Only reason Carlos might have a shot is because his next 2 opponents are 1HBH and he is good against them.
You might want to check Alcaraz vs Musetti Hamburg 2022. Musetti is a genius when he's on. IMO, he has the highest ceiling of all the youngsters (Next Gen + Gen Z) on clay.
