He thinks he's Shapovalov. The problem for him is that he actually is.
For me, that was the most impressive set he’d played all tournament. Sure, the 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 demolition jobs are fun, but when your back is against the wall, your opponent in the zone, that’s when champions are made. From 4-1 down he was virtually flawless and destroyed Shapo in all aspects of the game.

The kid is just oozing with confidence.

Good luck trying to beat him for 3 of those.

Absolutely no doubt Carlitos is an absolute force, however in Bo5, the jury is still out for me until the semi.
Excite!

Time to finish it. Carlos got the result he was looking for here, straight sets. He will need the energy for the upcoming battles.

Seven games. Slightly better than I expected. Now let's see if Musetti can get to ten. Strongly doubt it.

Glad y'all enjoy seeing this creature demolish anything on its path with three times the speed, strength and power of all the best tennis players in the world.

Somebody must tell Shapovalov to stop doing J toss - it only leads to DFs. Just toss up down in a straight line, towards to hitting arm, plain and simple.

Musetti will do really well to get to a TB imo.

Would have tuned in if it went to 1-1. Kinda happy I didn't and went out instead.

Shapo Dismantled, Musetti the Wta player is next, then the greek fraud, then the Serbian Hasbeen, this is gonna be way too easy for Carlitos. Absolutely no suspense there, he is way too good.

Shapovalov will never be a good player. How many errors did he do today. He doesn't have a stable game at all.
Oh come on, he's a great player, he's been ranked in the top 10.

He's never had a stable game and probably never will, he's just a loose canon but he has unbelievable talent and natural ability. An elite coach like Becker or even Cahill could do wonders for him, but he either can't (or won't) listen to coaches. Sadly I think he continues to slide down the rankings as his confidence erodes from losing early all the time.

I am surprised there's been no bump on Shapo's "lol... Got destroyed thread"

I wonder where Shapo goes from here. His lossed to Djokovic at Wimby and to Nadal at the AO seemed to strongly affect him, but there was always the idea that even if he lost, he'd been at least competitive, the oldies weren't going to be around for ever. Alcaraz on the other hand totally outclassed him, and will most likely outlast him. Is this the final nail in the coffin?

The new all-flair-no-results Monfils?

Wow, new account with fangurl username and picture, proceeds to talk trash about every other player he might play. Amazing and original...

Shapo had a period where he seemed semi-focused and intent on getting good results. This year is FAR from that. What has he done all season? He's looked really bad, and hasn't made any significant runs that I can remember. The only thing that stands out was his complete meltdown, borderline tanking, at Indian Wells.

Musetti might be dangerous if alcaraz has an off day, but krish is making him out to be like a world beater whom alcaraz must fear and not only that is a better clay courter than alcaraz
