Truly the highest level match of Roland Garros so far. Bruising hitting, excellent shot tolerance and depth from both men. Speed everywhere you look.

Fitness, brains, and some very nice shotmaking on display. Whoever wins this, will do so in a slugfest.
 
The only player I would ever bet on as a favorite on this surface and would expect to dispatch Djo in 3 to 4 sets is Nadal.

I don't see Nadal anywhere in the draw atm.

Fokina dominating any rally above 4 shots. Up an early break and thoroughly dominating the match. Mostly in control once the rally begins. 4/4 at net on drop shots as well. Overpowering Djokovic on both wings.

But no, “just a NextGen mug” and “Djokovic is unbeatable”. “Kralingen doesn’t know tennis”
 
Djokovic looks slow and listless today. He waits until he goes down double bp before he starts actually hitting aggressive. Dude get it together.

"NextGen muggery" imo doesn't really mean lack of a killer shot or inability to hang with Djokovic and Nadal from the baseline or anything technical like that.

It means that when they get a slim lead and have the chance to do either take a set, seal the match or at least consolidate their break, said game just goes AWOL and they start playing like the top 300th ranked player.
 
Only chance for fokina is starting strong, even if djoko looks slow i only see him getting better from here
 
That device Novak was wearing on his chest that turns body heat into light clearly isn't working for him!

Fokina not missing what he used to miss, he always had the talent, but those misses from nowhere were stopping him, lets see how he goes from here
 
Djoker's diet and stretching/yoga regiment are doing 100x times more for his fitness, health and longevity than this crackpot "Iron Man reactor" bs.

I think most already know this though, so it's preaching to the choir in most cases.
 
This level just isn't enough. If Novak doesn't get it together, he's gonna be in trouble. Novak seems off physically.
