Also, crazy how many points Med has needed on serve compared to Djoker. I know his draw was ridiculously easy, but he still had to win this one. Medvedev's inability to return against Djokovic from the Deuce court is absolutely atrocious. It's a free point virtually every time Djokovic comes to the net on those serves. Given that Medvedev is actually playing well from the baseline, it's galling that he insists on returning serve from the stands

Is it just the white racquet, or are Medvedev's strokes extremely compact which makes it difficult for his opponents to 'take time away' from him? Throughout his semi-final match and today it just looks like it's impossible to rush him on a shot!

His FH is not compact. His preparation time for the FH is one of the longest. Try it on court. Kyrgios, Tiafoe all have similar path of the racquet. Its a modern Sampras forehand.
This is the best style of forehand for running foirehands, because you swing the racquet earlier and get more power.
You get extreme power with this style.
