Djokovic-Fritz, GOAT vs US #1 is scheduled for the day session in the heat, but Shelton-Tiafoe, two Americans worse than Fritz, is apparently the prime time night session in the cool weather.

Hmmm…

Tiafoe isn't a ton worse than Fritz. Besides, Shelton could end up being better than both. (Still, holding out for 'Foe to show his best)

Yeah but we’re forgetting the huge elephant in the room.

The best player ever can’t make it on the prime time slot?

We desperately need Skinner-Zverev to be a long, high quality match. It's just been mismatch after mismatch in this tournament. The usual US Open drama is sorely lacking.

He's not the best player ever. There is no such thing. He's one of the best and not particularly popular among the all time greats. The other match will appeal to a different crowd.

It's fine for him to play a day match. He has played at night too.

This isn’t even a straight up cope. This is something else, don’t even know how to reply to this.

But it’s not. Facts don’t care about your feelings, and the facts point that Djokovic is the best player lol

There is no 'fact' which says that Djokovic is better than all players in history. You can't even begin to compare across generations meaningfully.

He's a super successful player and not as popular as other comparably successful players. In fact, Alcaraz already commands more crowd support and he's barely getting started.

Yeah, Djokovic can be the Triple H of tennis. All the championships but gets booed out of the building. lol

Yeah, we can’t compare the eras and generations, which is why we take the regular statistical approach, just measure all the numbers. And guess who leads all the numbers?

Yeah this idea that Djokovic isn’t popular is so annoying. Maybe he’s vilified in England, the US, and Australia, but he’s pretty much universally loved everywhere else.

Tiafoe is easily more popular than Fritz, and both he and Shelton are huge crowd-pleasers. It would have been a shame if they’d had to play in the day. The atmosphere in Ashe tomorrow night is gonna be incredible.

No, numbers from different times and places mean different things. This GOAT obsession was ridiculous with other players and it's ridiculous with Djokovic too.

As for popularity, you just basically cited the all the slams and said 'maybe Djokovic isn't popular there...'

You should quit while you're behind.
