Thats the biggest mental collapse I've ever seen.. Man, woman or alien
Just you wait till the Aussie Open!
She's laughing and crying at the same timeI think poor Sabs is going to give a Federeresque speech.
Sabalenka looks hysterical.
...but Sabalenka has no plan B. She lacks the skills in every area other than groundies, returns, and the serve. I love that Coco won ugly... a tribute to her coach. Scary to think that, now that she's figured out how to do that, players will perhaps no longer be able to count on her choking when plan A isn't working. Love that Coco has more plans now. Congratulations to her. She was the better player today.Because she made NO change to her game. Second set it was clear Gauff made it her mission to become a wall and what did Sabalenka do? Hit even harder which led to her influx of errors. Take nothing away from Coco, she did what she needed to do to win but if Aryna had more than plan A, I'm not sure that would have even gone 3 sets.

TTW feels like player who bashes ball the most must win....but Sabalenka has no plan B. She lacks the skills in every area other than groundies, returns, and the serve. Good she should be committed and publicly shamed for life. LOL
Did she just joke that her whole team was getting fired lol
I clearly felt a tapMary Jo with cringe questions to the loser of the match.
Let the losing player/team get off the court.
Imagine interviewing NBA/Super Bowl/World Cup final losing players. They be like, "Man, GTFOH with your stupid ass questions!"
So like me and a few others were trying to point out that Coco had barely lost this summer. And 90 percent of the board told us we were idiots. Oh well fun times.
Good for them.. At least they are paroled.. I would like to see how she is in her personal life if she breaks down like this so easy professionally
LOL. You are right. Zero comparison between the two. Gauff has a laundry list of solid results and has been close to being an elite player for 2-3 years. Radacanu has struggled to put together match wins.Gauff is unlikely to suffer the same injuries. She looks the most physically stable woman on tour.
Well, Brad handed Coco his book, Winning Ugly. That's all it took. LOL....but Sabalenka has no plan B. She lacks the skills in every area other than groundies, returns, and the serve. I love that Coco won ugly... a tribute to her coach.
She’s fearless.COCO DABBING ON HER HATERS
Gauff won more than half her total points on sabalenka’s UEs and people here wanna tell me how great Gauff is. Just not a fan of defensive tennis.
Hopefully she isn’t Raducanu 2.0As long as we dont hype this young lady who just won her home tournament at 19 years old in front of a sold out Ashe then it will all be good. Remember whatever you do. DO NOT HYPE.

Dude don’t like her defensive style. I prefer offensive tennis. She won more than half her total points on sabalenka’s UEs. Again kudos to her but not my brand of tennis. I like offense.
Nah, Raducanu came of nowhere to win it. Coco has been in a slam final before, won other tournaments this summer, and was part of the conversation to win this title.Hopefully she isn’t Raducanu 2.0
People have said the same about Djokovic and Nadal. But the thing is, great defense is as important as great offense. If you can do both, you are going to be an ATG.Gauff won more than half her total points on sabalenka’s UEs and people here wanna tell me how great Gauff is. Just not a fan of defensive tennis.
That’s fine. I like first strike tennis as well but you don’t win by just retrieving the ball against Sabalenka. Coco was matching her shot for shot in terms of power which was causing Sab to go for more and commit errors.
Players have said the same about Novak. How he forces them to go for more and commit errors due to him being a wall back there.
One can be a fan of first strike tennis and still appreciate this style of play which does have solid power with incredible defense that causes the opponent to make mistakes. Just pointing out unforced errors by the opponent is not correct.
Hard to think that Coco will struggle with that, given that she's been labeled as the next great American since coming on tour at 15. I'm just glad she managed to live up to some of the hype. It seems like it took her forever to get there - funny that she's just 19. Here's to hoping for more.As long as we dont hype this young lady who just won her home tournament at 19 years old in front of a sold out Ashe then it will all be good. Remember whatever you do. I don’t have a daughterIf your daughter played pro tennis and brought you her US Open winner's cheque, would you question why it's equal to the men's champ?![]()
