What a point to finish it!
I mean Medvedev should have won that, he just elected to hit a 3.0 pop volley instead of driving it into the corner with confidence.Just SENSATIONAL on the final point
Way way way too good
His potential is to be the best ever
07 Djokovic probably would have ran roughshod over most of this field tbh.He had only 1 slam in big part because of prime Fedal, not their 36 year old selves.
There has been many champions before Djokovic.Very Djokovic like.
Once he loses a step in 2-3 years, it won't look pretty.Agree. Honestly, Medvedev's return isn't great. He puts the ball in play, but not with great interest (unless the server really sucks). Medvedev depends on his movement to bail him out of his return game.
Djokovic doesn't have that problem.
Looking forward to Djok's thoughts on Sunday.Carlos just wanted the seamless scoreline of 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.
I don’t mind it. Very aesthetically minded kid.
Is it the low bounce that troubles him so much?Eubanks would've probably made it closer lol.
This is trueThere has been many champions before Djokovic.
And all them share the same traits.
Eubanks would've probably made it closer lol.
That's like running in a speedwalking contestHe’s so far ahead of literally everyone under age 36 that it isn’t even funny
"Another"?So here we go, yet another Djokoraz final...
Lol i forgot French open was the semis"Another"?
To be fair, he is a much better HC player then grass...The only reason Sinner and Med even made it to the semi is the terrible mug level draw they had to the semi.
Medvedev is so overrated my God. Thank God he’s rightfully been torn apart by Raz. This guy would not be top 5 in another era. How he won a slam is beyond me. Lucky lucky.
Probably 4 tiebreak sets4 sets?
Great performance by Alcaraz.Freaking animal, this has already started to be ridiculous lomg time ago, what a performance, @TennisFan3 i hope you enjoyed, main dish is on sunday, bring your salive bucket, youll need it, i told you at us open, i told you all last year, you still basing your coments in what has happened in the past, not in what your eyes are seing tennis wise, well it was just a matter of time you were gonna be wrong, alcaraz bad mental game? Man you crazy, i dont know where did you take that from, just be prepared for a hard wake up on sunday, you cant say you werent warned

Let our boy hit the second on Sunday by avoiding the lackluster level he showed in set 3.Literally think he can hit 20 if he stays healthy
let me guess if Medvedev had won , you would said that Alcaraz is overrrated? right))Medvedev is so overrated my God.
Medvedev had no chance to win. And he’s never going to win against a healthy Alcaraz. Book it.let me guess if Medvedev had won , you would said that Alcaraz is overrrated? right))
I think Alcaraz has a chance, but Novak is still the favorite, like 70% vs 30%Alcaraz is an alien. I never trusted Sinner at all before his match. Alcaraz is playing equally as well as Djokovic or maybe even higher. He will have good chance to win Wimbledon.
This was pretty much the match. Medvedev served low % today (59% first serve), had no +1 game to punish the serves Alcaraz returned, and couldn't defend his 2nd serve on the slick grass. My concern for Medvedev is that he has not been holding serve enough.
Eubanks broke him 3 times and every opponent apart from Lehecka broke him at least once. 3 out of 5 opponents broke him multiple times.
Alcaraz was able to break Jarry and Berrettini multiple times, so I think he can do the same against Medvedev.
Me neither!JCF cannot be happy about the tweener volley
This seems about right. The Alky-boosterism in the media is sure to be nauseating, though.I think Alcaraz has a chance, but Novak is still the favorite, like 70% vs 30%
No doubt. He had better start developing a love-affair with clay. Because unless his return and net game improves, he's going to need slow surfaces just to have a prayer of beating these up-and-coming players.Once he loses a step in 2-3 years, it won't look pretty.
So it was! I really thought Medvedev would have given Carlos a much tougher match, even possibly win. To me, Med looked confused and very unsure of himself throughout the match todayThe Kid in 3
I think more like 55 45 Nole. But Alcaraz is in better form just like RG.I think Alcaraz has a chance, but Novak is still the favorite, like 70% vs 30%
Yeah; that was an epic match point. What a point to finish it!
He will know when to retire I think, Lendl stopped for that same reason.Once he loses a step in 2-3 years, it won't look pretty.
honestly, i see much probable he cramps again than he loses, losing in straights is just an imposibility, i mean if that happens i could even accept to tatto novaks smiley face on my ass, i expect nolefam to come hard at me if he loses because i will deserve it and i would do no less, but if alcaraz wins, everybody deep down will finally see and accept that playing the game the right way, going for your shots, being creative, playing all court, is in essence the best way to play tennis if you have the talent for it, superior shot making from the choosen one will dismantle the percentage taylored tennis from an in fact not very creative player and put down all this farce, tennis has been in a bit of a bucle with the style novak has developed, alcaraz is just about to give back the balance to the force, i mean man, you come from sampras era, i cant even understand you support novaks tenis over alcarazs, well i imagine, many disapointments from mediocre players like shapovalov and such, have made you accept novak as the ultimate and unavoidable faith, but dont worry man, its not late for you, deep inside you know the truth, alcaraz will rescue you and many more on sunday, and we can put an end to this painful era of our tennis lives.Great performance by Alcaraz.
I just hope he gives some sort of a fight on Sunday.
Just don't cramp. Even if he loses in 4 - it's fine. But going down in straight sets to Novak would be terrible for his confidence IMO.
And honestly, I don't think he will beat Novak. Novak's big match mentality is bigger than anyone else and Alcaraz isn't ready yet.
