I only saw 2 passages of play, a couple of games at the beginning of set 2 (I think), and also the tie break. Funnily enough, Sinner made the exact same error in both passages; open court available to finish off the point yet strangely hit down the middle...

The last three points of the tie break were just mug level tennis.

It is what Rublev said it is just that in the defining moments of the match Novak plays where more solid than his opponents who tend to tighten whereas he locks down 9 times out of 10.

That might be the worst quality of the NextGens. They never learn from things to take the next step. They only ever go backwards. Medvedev taking down Djokovic in 2021 after losing a slam final earlier in the year was the lone exception.
