Could tell from the racquet prep Svitolina was going to sail that long. Perfect example of a time the grip should be adjusted stronger to control launch angle.
I didn’t even realize that Rybakina was in the bottom half with Ons and Sabalenka until this week. Ridiculous. The Australian Open and Roland Garros built to such a great final couple of rounds this year it seemed like a new age was dawning, and here we're back to the garbage that has made a joke of womens tennis for 15 years. This is the danger of lopsided draws.
What do you mean? The QF’s were brilliant. Jabeur v Rybakina felt like a slam final. Swiatek v Svitolina was fantastic. Pegula v Vondrousova was great to watch. I’m sure Sabalenka v Jabeur SF tonight will be fantastic between #2 and #6.The Australian Open and Roland Garros built to such a great final couple of rounds this year it seemed like a new age was dawning, and here we're back to the garbage that has made a joke of womens tennis for 15 years. Both are choking, just in different phases. She’s choking now
Svitolina making far, far less errors and hitting great winners and is in the points now. And Vondrousova has become very nervy.I don’t particularly think Svitolin has done much here. I’m kinda shocked it’s 4-3.
Vondrousov did this at the AO too. This is probably why she’s never consistently a top 30 player. Way too self destructive and way too dependent on rhythm.
same dealI believe it was cow dung.
True, the momentum has clearly shifted, but I see it much more on Marketa’s side. She looked like she has no clue where to hit the ballSvitolina making far, far less errors and hitting great winners and is in the points now. And Vondrousova has become very nervy.
It seems like they should do better if I can see that happening in advance from a TV screen. She's had a bushel-full of those today.

Are you saying her forehand is lacking a bit in that? I do have that feeling watching it.Fundamentals (or lack thereof) show up in crunch time.
