So then I must ask, why did she wait until age 33 to start using these tools? Was toiling away in relative mediocrity for 10 years really that enjoyable for her?
I think that:
a) You should try tennis
b) It's the coach influence and her maturity

Is that the one that only repeats what the other announcer says and then make some stupid comment like 'yeah she should hit more winners' and her accent is really heavy?
Yes, her accent is very heavy, and she says a lot of strange things while trying to use American slang.

Rybakina definitely off her game tonight and not showing any fire, either. But credit to Pegula for bringing that to bear. She’s playing great.
She never shows any "fire," if you mean fire in, like, the Danielle Collins sense.
Pegula is playing well, but Rybakina looks like she's running out of steam.
Again, she pretty much always looks like this. If she makes more shots than she misses, she wins.

Huh? How about all of the other players on the WTA and ATP tour that have "tried" tennis, and haven't peaked at 33 years old?
And I'm not saying it's impossible, but you are implying she suddenly found all these new weapons or tools. Can it just be that she is having a good run of form? That happens to everyone, at various points of their careers, and isn't based on something particularly tangible.

Good god....

I hope the 2nd set is a better quality of play with winning shots being the deciding factors not UEs and inability to hold serve. It was an annoying set of tennis.

Elena played very well on two points to get mini breaks out of Pegula's serve there, but I feel like the American was really disturbed by the rain coming again, this set kinda s*cked overall.
