She has always been a very offensive player, pedal to the metal all the time, but now she just seems to not want to run, end the points quickly hence over hitting a ton. Just seems very sluggish, hence my quip of too much cheese.

Did Venus or Serena ever play Stuttgart? I was just looking at the list of previous finals.
Henin and Kerber won it twice, with Henin a RU twice before she even won it. Davenport and Sharapova won it 3x, and Hingis won it 4x.
Germans have also performed well at home with Huber, Görges, Kerber and Siegemund all winning it.

The semi finals today have been a massive contrast to last year when it was Swiatek-Samsonova and Sabalenka-Badosa.

The final should be good though. Swiatek to win IMO but in a much tighter way than last year.

Sabalenka 1st serve % was only 51% in last year's final (56% when she played Swiatek in Rome). This year she's gone 65, 62, 65 in her three matches so far this tourny. Should be a tougher nut tomorrow than previous.

I think she is back to normal herself, had some brilliant moments lately, Cinderella part of her is gone.
