His first serve has already improved. It’s the legs that has prevented it from being consistent in grueling matches
He needs to bulk up a bit in his lower body IMO.

For sure. I think he’ll achieve the number one ranking at a similar age to Djokovic around 23/24He needs to bulk up a bit in his lower body IMO.
Indeed so. Jannik has been outstanding from the start. As he rides the crest of the wave, his confidence soaring, he has treated us to a superb display of his skills, executed with panache.Holy crap. Unreal stuff from Sinner in that third set. He’s gonna take some beating in the final.
Sinner has won 3 close matchesThat was a really entertaining encounter and the final scoreline belies the closeness of the points and the extremely fine margins between them. It didn't do Medvedev justice.
Sinner's incredible clutchness on serve is what got him through. He never lost serve all match.
What is Sinner's record with the current members of the top 10?Sinner has won 3 close matches
It's now Over for Medvedev. He let this rivalry go

In Slams, it's 73.7% (Medvedev) vs 70.4% (Sinner). He has a ways to go to catch Medvedvev who has made 5 Slam finals whereas he hasn't made any yet.Potentially? He already has a higher career win percentage at 72% at age 22. Medvedev 71% at age 27. Sinner is definitely going to win over 78% of his matches when he retires
Alky's not defending Wimbledon.@Rovesciarete still don’t see Sinner reaching #2 in the rankings next year? Especially if Alcaraz fails to defend his Wimbledon title?
Djokovic has to play Alcaraz.Djokovic can't be stopped
IMO
Squats and deadlifts, but just for a little while. He needs to bulk up a bit in his lower body IMO.
Sinner is 5 years younger and yet to enter his prime and I’m sure he’ll achieve more at age 27 than Medvedev hasIn Slams, it's 73.7% (Medvedev) vs 70.4% (Sinner). He has a ways to go to catch Medvedvev who has made 5 Slam finals whereas he hasn't made any yet.
And Sinner has already shown his best, while Alcaraz has more in the tank. He's going to face Djokovic with the entire weight of his country behind him...and he's gonna get smoked. He will regret not tanking the Rune match.
That said, what an amazing performance. I don't like Medvedev at all, so this was fun to see.

Yeah could easily be the best edition of this tournament in years if the last two matches deliver.Indeed so. Jannik has been outstanding from the start. As he rides the crest of the wave, his confidence soaring, he has treated us to a superb display of his skills, executed with panache.
I'm really looking forward to the the second SF, and the F - if all involved can play well, it will be a magnificent ending to the year.
Potentially though. Meaning he can but hasn't done it yet. Let's wait and see what he achieves.Sinner is 5 years younger and yet to enter his prime and I’m sure he’ll achieve more at age 27 than Medvedev has

That’s actually not bad

Truly but he’s a terrible matchup for Rublev. Generates more power, has a better serve and is more consistent from the baseline. Better forehand and backhandSure but they still count in the official H2H. Only withdrawals ahead of the match don't count.

I watched a match with Sinner and Rublev in the round of 16 of Roland Garros in 2022, before Sinner retired midway through the match. He was getting crushed by Sinner. Sinner made every return of his first serve and was blasting winners after winners on the Parisian clay and won the first set 6-1. Rublev was overwhelmed. Trrrible matchupMost of the top 10 seem to be a bad match-up for Rublev.
Will he pass out the tiny one in the rankings in 2024 if tiny fails to defend his Wimbledon crown?
Keep doubting SinnerSinner will lose 6-0 6-3 to Djokovic in the final. Just watch.
Ok, I admit he might win 4-5 games instead of 3, if lucky. But that's it.Keep doubting Sinner
Its only going to get harder to beat Alcaraz at Wimbledon, not even close to his prime yet....Will he pass out the tiny one in the rankings in 2024 if tiny fails to defend his Wimbledon crown?

the same way it will be harder and harder to beat him at US open? he got sent packing by octopus a few months agoIts only going to get harder to beat Alcaraz at Wimbledon, not even close to his prime yet....
Too bad Djokovic took so long to win Wimbledon.
Sinner is over 80% win rate this season, Zverev has never achieved that in his careerI love how people get excited about Sinner. Zverev has won the ATP finals with 21 in 2018 (Sinner is 22 now, right?) Not much happened to Zverev since then (the injury aside).
Djokovic has to play Alcaraz.
I hope you're right. I like Alcaraz, don't like Djokovic. But Alcaraz doesn't look unstoppable anymore and Djokovic pretty much has.
It's 73 % win rate for Sasha in 2018 vs 81 % win rate. The difference is not that big.Sinner is over 80% win rate this season, Zverev has never achieved that in his career

Just couple of matches. That’s a big difference
His game was more advanced at this age. More mentally mature and he will be a lot better 23 year old than Zverev ever wasJust couple of matches.

I really was feeling this too. Just back him for a big bet at 1.62. Just didn’t want to believe it…@Kralingen I should have bet lol
