In the 2024 AO quarterfinal match between Alcaraz and Zverev, Carlos completed a phenomenal comeback to win the match in 5 after being down 6-1, 6-3, 5-2!!
Now that I look back at it, I really think it had more to do with Alcaraz raising his level rather than Zverev choking. Carlos really looked unstoppable after that. His forehands were explosive, akin to peak Federer's bomb forehands, his passing shots were legendary, even much better than any passing shot Nadal has ever hit in his entire career. And Alcaraz looked mentally tougher than Djokovic has ever been.
I think that Alcaraz being down 6-1, 6-3, 5-2 was actually a huge advantage for him rather than an inconvenience. I mean, he was even smiling and laughing the entire time even when he was down 2 sets to love. Incredible.

But if Alcaraz faced a similar situation against the Big Three at their peak at the AO, i.e. if he was down 6-1, 6-3, 5-2 against 2007 Federer, 2009 Nadal or 2011 Djokovic at the AO, would he have still been smiling and laughing confidently? Or would he have lost the match instead of coming back to win it?

Who would prevail in this hypothetical match, 2024 Alcaraz vs peak Big 3 at the AO, but the Big 3 has a 6-1, 6-3, 5-2 head start?

So much effort, so little value.
