Only two sponsor patches? Stan was always good for three or four each sleeve!

I believe ITF (or AO?) limits the number of patches you can have at their events. There was a delay today in the Fucsovics vs. Dimitrov match due to this. Fucsovics was asked to change his shirt. Yup, here:

There was a brief delay at John Cain Arena on Tuesday afternoon as Hungarian veteran Marton Fucsovics was ordered to change his shirt before the first-round match could begin.

The issue appeared to be the number of logos visible on Fucsovics’ top – players are not restricted when it comes to the advertising of approved tennis clothing manufacturers on their kit, but can only display up to two “commercial” logos of a certain size.

Fucsovics was allowed to continue the warm-up wearing the original shirt as his team retrieved another for him to wear in the match.

There's something likeable about Adidas outfits in general (they usually look so neat, professional, except that US Open collection probably designed by some [insert any "marginalised group"] designer whose only qualification was belonging to that group apparently) and this year's Aussie Open ones in particular. I think they nailed it with that specific green hue, and it goes so well with white.
Adidas is No.1 for me. Lacoste could be second. The rest is bad, especially Nike.
Holger's top is the worst, it's like the task was: "Let's find the most hideous colour for Holger's sleeveless top." There you go.

Yonex finally returning to its senses after a horrific showing last year — those first two posts in this thread are great. Same with Adidas, clean look, redemption from last year's AO. Even Nike, a little more sober, usually love how outrageous they are at AO, but still a good showing, nice colours.

No, it’s literally called About Sports.

Hydrogen has the skull logo.
I wonder if it's a tennis offshoot from hydrogen because all the players on that insta are hydrogen sponsored — and these shirts have that lightning bolt and both companies are based out of italy.

EDIT: yeah it's the same designer from Hydrogen: "ABOUT is the new apparel brand created by Italian designer Alberto Bresci. The name itself captures the essence of this collection: AB as the initials of Alberto Bresci and OUT as his way of thinking always outside the box. The logo is made of a lightning, to represent tennis and padel in their fast and imperceptible movements."

Nice digging. Thanks.

Best Nike kit so far
You think so? When I saw the promotion/render pics I was excited given I thought it was grey but found it was a shade of purple. Love the yellow one since you don’t see that color as often plus the green accent mixed in makes it look appropriate for the Aussie Open (David Cup baby)

I guess I’d put karen ks outfit up there too. The dual green shades are lovely and constrast well

I think sinners is close to this fit but like many others have mentioned his frame makes for a tough sell. I actually think the dark/mellow purple is a unique way to lean into neutral color

The alcaraz sleeveless color is really off putting. The pastel yellow + sharp green just doesn’t work IMO. A real brutal miss yet again, sadly slightly better than the USO funfetti cake fit. I’m just glad to have snagged the 2022 USO and 2023 W tops. Both are way more classy than this sleeveless yellow/old wallpaper colored stuff they keep trying to put him in

You would have thought his agent should have done his/her job on this sort of matter.

Out of the stuff this year, on the women's side I think I like Osaka (Nike) the most. Sth different and ambitious, executed well. Matches the racket even. I also liked those worn by Krejcikova (Fila), Parks (Wilson; elegant cut; clean; great decision to make the logo low-key to not ruin the clean look), and Gauff (New Balance; nice sporty and spirited design, both the cut and colors). Also surprisingly Ostapenko (DK ONE; nice cut and color).

On the men's side my favorite is maybe the red/orange and dark blue combo by Asics (worn by a number of players: Coric, De Minaur, Nava; looks crisp). I also like the yellow/green and black combo design and colorway from Nike (worn e.g. by Tiafoe and Alcaraz), the Yonex kit worn by Stan, plus the dark purple shirt worn by Gasquet (Le Coq Sportif), and the green one worn by Medvedev (Lacoste).

For me Lacoste tends to always be at minimum ok, both on the men's and the women's side. Even the "ball boy" (LOL) colorway worn by Dimitrov works.

The one I like the least overall is probably Adidas. Haven't liked most of their stuff the past few years. Either too out there (adventurous, but not in a tasteful way) or bland/meh. For my liking.

I do like the polos they put out. Hopefully they don’t recycle the design but knowing Nike as of late, they probably will.

Sinner is hard to market like many others have said. Perhaps the percentage of sales are better in EU/Italy

I do see what you mean. Should have not put coconut milk color mixed in with the yellow, too close in shade. As for his sleeveless outfit, ‘22 AO with the racer like singlet was clean.

AO22 alcaraz sleeveless was awesome, wish i had one. was able to snag the shorts but they arent holding up well

I just wish they went for more bold colors with their flagship player

I always thought on getting the sleeve model and just cut off the sleeves, the white one would’ve looked good sleeveless too.

They probably will. I can see Alcaraz being more bold in contrast with Sinner being pale (yes there’s a joke in there cause he’s a ginger)

Viktoriya Tomova. Day 5 - 18 Jan. 2024. Asics Fall Match Dress

I've seen several players wearing this dress from last year. It's a really nice dress that seems like it would look good on the average club player.

Not bad showing for Head

I didn't mind On's last kit at the USO, but man, they have to put a bit more creativity behind these, this looks like doodoo. Possibly toss in some more colour variance besides pink and blue.

The On clothing doesn't seem to dry well, Shelton's top looks drenched and sticking to him majority of the time.
