A killer. Sinner really showing me something in the SFs and F of Cincinnati.

You're a good poster, tell me honestly if Sinner is not a better hC player than Carlos and two slams on HC gives an edge to Sinner in rivalry with Alcaraz.

Can you give me other examples of athletes with low tennis IQ?
I was talking about Tiafoe. I observed Tiafoe not moving Sinner corner to corner, but mostly staying straight up the center. Maybe he is playing it safe, but that won't win against Sinner.

Good chances of even a clear edge at both AO and USO but both are well-rounded enough to meet each other at every Slam and Alcaraz will probably have the edge at RG and Wimbledon - (So I mean they may play each other a similar number of times on HC in Slams as on G+C, making it quite even). It's concerning that Sinner is still showing physical issues but he's about to waltz his way through this Masters 1000 final so I guess he's on the up and just has to deal with some pain as he pushes his body back into max mode.

Good analysis, Sinner's fragile frame can be an issue but once he figures out his health issues he can be a lock for HC slams. Also I think his game gives Carlos tough time , even on clay he was 2-1 up against Carlos and could have won the match and RG. Carlos can win HC slams but his shots don't have the same bite on HC and his serve seems very ineffective. Also, his shot selection and low percentage game all the time makes his life harder for him , this problem gets more pronounced on HC and it gets masked on Clay and RG. He needs to come up with retooling his game to match Sinner. Ttw posters are deluded if they think Carlos is far ahead , imo slam count for now doesn't paint the true picture.

Taifoe is a great sportsman, nice exchange at net. Nice to see him in form and ready to make another USO run, he's good for the sport when he's playing well.

Carlos is way more accomplished, it's not debatable, but I expect a lot of back and forth between the two for years to come and it's good for the sport if Sinner starts catching up to him. I do think Sinner is the favorite at the USO, he's the freshest of the top guys and his game is tailor made for the HCs.

Nobody said he's not but anyone watching tennis with an open mind know Sinner is far better HC player now after hitting his prime and Carlos has issues in his game that needs to be addressed asap.

Well, that's just not true but we'll just have to agree to disagree on that.
As I said before though, I do think Sinner is the favorite at the USO based on current form.

I just wouldnt go so fast as to make him a lock at every hard court slam, thats crazy, Alcaraz has won wimbledon consecutive years and nobody is making him a lock there, and the only slam sinner won, he was 2 sets down in the final, hes doing impressive things but the last thing he is is a lock anywhere

Yeh I don't expect them to blanket the tour and block out the sun like Fedalovic (besides that's 3 guys to do the work and not just 2). They could still be quite greedy, though.

Jannik won the most recent hard court Slam and the lead-in tournament. He has to be the favorite now. But agreed, it's very open.
That would make more sense if the first hard court slam wasnt 7 months ago and the surface wasnt completly different honestly

Voted Sonic in 2 but as ever a tie break can go both ways, but it didn´t. Objectively not the most interesting match, especially early in the 1st set Sinner´s FH was like an UE machine. Anyhow, congrats to Sonic. His 5th title this season, not bad, not bad at all. And I´m still laughing because his probably biggest rival managed to lose against Monfils!

This tournament doesn't tell us anything about Sinner's USO prospects.

Last week in Montreal he totally crumbled when he had to play two BO3 matches in the same day.
